CHECK IN Check in was ridiculously complicated and overly slow. Hotel should have had all our details from TUI but insisted on completing an online form via tablet. The interface was so small making input difficult and likely inaccurate. This resulted in queues of new arrivals awaiting check in. Must say the attitude of the reception staff (on arrival) could have been better. No issues on subsequent visits, to exchange money etc. ROOM We got the room we booked. Junior swim up. Pretty much as advertised. Perhaps a little dated and of need of TLC but overall adequate enough for our stay. Our housekeeper, Martha, always made a great job of keeping the place clean. Only gripe is a lack of hangers for clothes, pretty minor but something we had to chase on a number of occasions. Minibar refresh was a bit of a hit or miss. Went a couple of days without the stock being replenished (remember this is also your water) and was only resolved after escalation of complaint via concierge. BEACH Do not come here if you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday. Seriously, look elsewhere. Yes, the resort does offer a huge beach front. That's undoubted. They have trouble with extensive seaweed, natural therefore outwith the control of the hotel. However, the entire beach front is made ugly and likely dangerous by an array of concrete blocks, reminiscent of WW2 tank traps! The red 'no swim' flags are up permanently. So not the relaxing beach experience you would be seeking. There is an artificial salt water pool by the Casitas. Gives the sensation of swimming in the sea, but it's not the same. Entry to this pool is a little precarious, watch your step!! FOOD The food here is very good, with many excellent restaurants to choose from. We personally loved Kampai and D'Italia at the Casitas. Just watch, you are offered a wine list which is extra. The house wine is perfectly good to accompany your meal. I've read reviews speaking of poor service at dinner, didn't experience this personally. One day during adverse weather we tried to order room service only to be told it had been suspended. Even though we saw deliveries being made and learned afterwards that other guests had no issues. Perhaps we hadn't got the' right room' or hadn't tipped enough, who knows? Never mind, we were able to get a bag of crisps and a bar of chocolate for as little as £12!! ENTERTAINMENT We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of entertainment. Live shows were well polished and the fire show on the sand arena was out of this world. Do try and take in some entertainment, you'll not be disappointed. POOLS We always used the salt water pool. There are others to choose from. Swim up bar could have done with more staff as frequent queues formed. The lazy river that passed our room took us all the way to the pool, nice touch. FINAL THOUGHTS I'm not writing off this hotel. Not at all. It just didn't deliver the holiday we needed after two years of lock down. My wife loves

Esperienza assolutamente sorprendente. E 'prezioso ma vale ogni penny. La stanza era grande, la vista è magnifica, e il servizio era di prima vista. Tutti i ristoranti all'interno del resort erano oltre sorprendente. 11/10 consigliere.

Siamo una giovane coppia che ha deciso di trascorrere due giorni in questo fantastico resort soggiornando in una delle 400 camere presenti. La nostra camera in particolare aveva una vista sulla laguna che attraversa il resort. All’arrivo, Alfonso, personale del resort ci ha subito accolto e preso le nostre valigie e le chiavi della nostra auto per portarla al parcheggio. Dopo aver effettuato il check-in ci siamo diretti con una macchina da golf presso la nostra camera, dove abbiamo potuto osservare parte del resort in compagnia del signor Alfonso che ci spiegava le attività e i ristoranti presenti nella struttura. La camera il letto fronte alla laguna ti regala dei colori mozzafiato ad ogni risveglio. Entri in camera e ti senti a casa, tutto quello che desideri è lì a portata di mano, non manca un dettaglio, puoi persino lasciare il tuo alimentatore per caricare l’iPhone a casa perché sono presenti prese Usb accanto al letto. Il pomeriggio ci hanno fatto trovare degli ottimi cookies e una borsa con all’interno un termos, un telo mare e un set da viaggio per cosmetici. Il secondo pomeriggio una porzione di frutta fresca, tutto senza mai aver chiesto il servizio in camera. Ogni giorno la camera veniva ripulita e se mancava qualcosa dal frigobar o del caffè veniva rimpiazzato, cosi come i cosmetici presenti nel bagno. Il resort è molto grande e il modo migliore per visitarlo è prendere una delle tante biciclette che si trovano nei vari parcheggi e fare un giro per poi lasciarla sulla spiaggia, bere un ottimo Margarita e tuffarti in mare o in una delle piscine, senza ricordarti di prendere un telo mare perché presso ovunque è presente un armadietto con teli mare a disposizione dei clienti. Avendo optato per il piano All-inclusive, avevamo quindi accesso a tutti i ristoranti presenti tranne al ristorante “Gaia”. La colazione in questo resort rende difficile la scelta di come iniziare bene la giornata perché il buffet è cosi ampio che non si sa cosa scegliere. Tutto di qualità, frutta fresca, pane, cornetti, salumi e tanto altro ancora. Pranzare e cenare presso qualunque ristorante presente nella struttura è sempre stata un’emozione. La mia fidanzata è intollerante al glutine ed in ogni ristorante che siamo andati, il cameriere chiedeva sempre le intolleranze prima di prendere un’ordinazione, un dettaglio che fa la differenza. I ristornati sono eleganti, dallo stile retrò al moderno, molto buono il cocktail “Papi’s Home” presente nel menù del bar da “Tauro”. Alcuni emozionanti, come “Fuego” dove puoi pranzare a piedi nudi sulla spiaggia e ammirare la bellezza e i colori del mare che la natura ti regala. Il Mayakoba da l’opportunità di effettuare anche alcune attività, noi abbiamo optato per la canoa, ma non puoi allontanarti oltre a delle barriere che sono presenti nel mare per trattenere le alghe. Il giro di circa 45 minuti sul catamarano ci ha permesso di andare un pò oltre e poter apprezzare ancora di più i colori del mare. Alla fine del nostro s
