While there were some great moments, our overall experience was disappointing due to several service and amenity issues.
The Good:
✅ Stunning Room View (After Upgrade): Once I upgraded to the Prestige Premium Centre View (for an extra arm 😢), the view of Marina Bay Sands, the CBD, and Marina Bay was breathtaking.
✅ Excellent Housekeeping: The room was spotless and well-maintained throughout my stay.
The Not-So-Good:
❌ Slow Check-In & Check-Out: Long, 30-minute queues for both check-in and check-out made the process frustrating. Even the express counter had delays.
❌ Misleading Room Descriptions: The Swiss Premium Marina Bay Suite did not include a view of MBS, as the name implied. I had to pay extra to get the view I originally expected. This felt like a bait-and-switch tactic.
❌ No Bidet Spray in the Bathroom: A surprising omission for a hotel of this level, especially in Asia. When I asked about it, the staff’s response was simply to “use a mug,” which came across as dismissive.
❌ Cold & Poorly Managed Breakfast: The Indian and Asian dishes were served cold, affecting the overall dining experience.
❌ Delayed Deposit Refund: My deposit refund was delayed for two days, and I had to follow up multiple times to get it processed.
Final Thoughts:
For the premium price and Swissôtel’s brand reputation, I expected better service, transparency, and amenities. While the room (after the upgrade) was a highlight, the service inconsistencies, misleading booking details, and long wait times made this one of my more frustrating hotel stays.
⭐ Rating: 2.5/5 – Could be much better with improved service, clearer room descriptions, and basic amenities like a bidet spray. Would I return? Only if these issues are addressed.
