This is definitely NOT a 5 star hotel standard. The hotel is very outdated and in a state of disrepair. When booking a hotel room one rightfully expects clean and quiet accommodations with functional facilities and services. My experience at the hotel had non of the above and it failed to meet any of these basic expectations.
Facilities: The room i was assigned had no hot water available for showering. this is the most fundamental requirement for any decent hotel room needless to say a 5 star hotel room and it failed. Additionally, the shower head holder was loose, causing the shower head to frequently fall off. In fact, while I was checking the shower faucet for hot water, the shower head fell and struck my head, resulting in bruises. Furthermore, throughout my 3 night stay, i was repeatedly disturbed by loud door slams, guest running down the hallway multiply, and neighbouring guests speaking loudly. This significantly impacted my quality of sleep and to rest peacefully.
Cleaniness: The cleanliness of the vents in all rooms, including my friend's room, my original room and the replacement room I was given after reporting the shower issue, was deplorable (photo attached). None of the vents were clean. Furthermore, vents are dirty for all rooms (photo attached), I know this because I checked out my friend's room, my original room and the newly assigned room after notifying them about the shower issue. Non of them are clean. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, and all of those nights i was waken many times by door slams, hotel guest running down the hallway repeatedly or talking loudly with neighbour guests.
Service: Despite bringing my issue of the bathroom to the attention of multiple hotel staffs, there was no apology for the inconvenience caused by the lack of hot water, as if it is common that rooms had no such function. I was merely reassigned to the same type of room without further actions or upgrades or complimentary gestures that most other hotels would. Even when i presented the staff with photos of the dirty vents, they failed to address the issue and persisted in my transferred room. When i complaint about the noise disturbance, the staff responded merely with "Oh ok, ic". It is not until I reiterated my experience during checkout that I was given the proper attention but it is too late. This overall experience unquestionably ranks as the worst I have ever encountered in a hotel.
