Fraser Suites Singapore

Riverside/ Clarke Quay Singapore|1.6km dal Opp Enabling Village
As two couples we had a great 7 day stay at Fraser Suites. I will summarise our stay as follows: Positives: The accommodation suited us perfectly; spacious, with a balcony, washer, dryer, and two bathrooms. Plenty of storage space, especially in the kitchen if you need it. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The apartment was spotless and housekeeping visited every day, replenishing laundry powder, toiletries and they also left fresh towels. The master bedroom is big, with ensuite bathroom (with a separate toilet to the shower). There is a Fairprice Finest literally next door, along with a Little Farms, and an Italian restaurant that does takeaway pizza. Other local eateries too. The Great World MRT is about a 12-15 minute walk away, but once you get the hang of the buses they are good too, as there are stops nearby. The MRT is just two stops away on this route (Riva Lodge). We didn’t use the free shuttle service. The pool area was nice and pool towels are provided. We never had to wait long for the lifts. Negatives: A mirror in the bedroom would have been useful so that I could do my make-up and dry my hair whilst my husband was in the shower. I don’t think there was one in the master bedroom either. There are full length mirrors all along one wall in the kitchen so I resorted to doing my hair and make-up in there. No spare socket by the bed. Nowhere to put towels in the smaller bathroom. We would have been happy to re-use towels if there was somewhere to hang them up and felt this was a waste of energy. A couple of hooks would have been brilliant. The kitchen was very poorly equipped if you’re going to be there for a longer period, but there is a note left by management to just ask for anything you need. A small table on the balcony would have been useful. Breakfast was very hit and miss. On more than one occasion I had to tell the staff that the scrambled eggs and sausages were cold. I was very worried about the food safety aspect of lukewarm meat. We ended up asking the staff to get the chef to make us fresh eggs once we realised this was an option. The toaster was so slow and took 2-3 rotations to get anything other than warm bread. It was however nice to have a bit of variety of the Asian dishes. If you don’t mind being a bit outside of the city, this is a great place for families with the convenience of laundry facilities and a balcony. Daily housekeeping was a bonus and breakfast included. I would certainly recommend it. I hope this is helpful!

Conrad Singapore Orchard

Orchard Road Singapore|2.29km dal Opp Enabling Village
Greetings esteemed reviewers, it is with great dismay that I pen this review to share my recent experience at the Conrad Orchard Singapore which was well below expectation. This isn't my first time to stay here. In a previous review, I had bestowed upon the hotel a rating of four stars and had made mention of the General Manager's name, Oscar Postma, as a mild critique of their performance. My stay had been quite wonderful, albeit marred by their proclivity towards complacency in providing minor special requests. However, I found myself the subject of ill-treatment at the hands of the hotel's personnel. Their behavior was nothing short of bullying, as they proceeded to pursue punitive measures against my top-tier membership in their esteemed chain of hotels, ultimately resulting in its suspension. The road to reinstatement was replete with challenges, and I was disconcerted by their unseemly conduct, which seemed to be directed towards punishing me for my candid review. It is my duty to warn other fellow reviewers that these individuals are not to be mistaken for gentlemen of standing and refinement, but rather, they utilize tactics that are more in line with the mindset of a thug, targeting those who dare to voice their concerns. Any potential guest at the Conrad Orchard Singapore should be prepared to navigate such hostility. In summation, I find the behavior of the hotel's personnel to be wholly unacceptable, and I would caution any prospective guests to prepare themselves accordingly. It is my sincere hope that this review serves as a warning to all who might consider a stay at this establishment.

I find this property very difficult to rate we had high expectations. I guess we looked at the room rates and we just figured there would be a lot more to offer the property is very minimalistic. Can’t say much about the staff because the hotel is so new but they definitely need more experienced management for sure, I’m a Titanium Elite member so I did get an upgrade to their basic suite. The rooms and the property has no sound insulation so you can hear everything in the hall everything in the rooms next-door to you for that reason alone I would not return. I was told if I wanted further upgrade I could use my suite Night awards they have a promo going on But then was told after ,we don’t control that Marriott controls that which I know they do but it did say it was available but what they had done after me requesting about 10 times for the upgrade instead of honoring what they said they gave it to someone else two hours prior to check and bragged about it see below I did ask the management what I did wrong Anything? Or what do I have to do next time? But like I said the management is very new and inexperienced so I didn’t get much benefit of asking that question I think it’s an overpriced property in my opinion they won’t survive not at the rates I see some rates entry-level thousand dollars $1200 depending on the dates, no way in a million years is this property command those kind of dollars we come to Singapore 3-4 times a year we stay around 80 nights I won’t be visiting this property again anytime soon. as well Not crazy about the location and if it rains you’re at luck we didn’t try the restaurant there wasn’t much on the menu Have a look at it so I can’t comment on that, no buffet breakfast included no lounge just don’t see the value at all, but if you want your milk because they don’t leave milk in the room for your coffee, I suggest you order it an hour in advance. Check out is 12:00 to me a 2 star or 3 star has 12:00 check out.the spa is basic very small only few people can fit in jacuzzi, maybe three in the Steam and the bathroom utensils or something you would see again in the two or three star hotel again very disappointing.PS before you go to bed check that they’ve left coffee or sugar in your room so that way when you get up in the morning and you find there’s nothing there you won’t have to wait an hour to get it. It’s hard to believe they don’t even leave milk in the room. You have to call up for it every morning.

I didn't consider that I am a picky person and can't recall I ever gave one star review in my life, but this ”serviced department” has continuosly challenged my understanding of what defines ”service” during my one-month staying so I just can't wait to post this review on the day of me checking out to both Google Map and Tripadvisor. Below are some examples - 1. No basic understanding on the service they claim to be providing: The package my company arranged for me is that the LK should provide daily transfer for me to the office. During the COVID period, I WFH most of the days and only used the service about 10 times in total. However, almost each time when I came down in the morning, there is something to surprise me about how it can get wrong. e.g. one day the staff said he didn't have the taxi ticket with him, one day another guy said he didn't know how to call the taxi though he had the ticket for me, and one day the guy said his manager would report to duty only at 9 and I need to wait for that. 2. ”Not-my-business” attiude for quite many staff: The way that the transfer worked is that I should hand back the taxi receipt to the front desk. One day at 6ish, I tried to give the receipt to the guy on duty, who is a skinny Indian (?) young guy, and he said ”oh don't give it to me. Give it to my manager.” I asked why, and he said ”I am new and I don't know how to handle that.” Being completely pissed off already, I said ”that is what you need to learn” and left the frontdesk with my receipt left with this guy. 3. So-called-weekly-cleaning: I requested during my first week of arrival already that I hope to have the weekly cleaning to be scheduled on Thu only. One week they didn't follow my instruction. One week the cleaner came for the so called cleaning and the pictures showed what I saw when I get back to the room that evening. I don't think I need any further elaboration. 4. Leave on your own: Today when I left, I started calling the front desk at about 10 to tell them that I intended to check out at 11ish. The first time no one answered my call or returned my message. The second time the call was picked up and the girl agreed to send someone up to help me in about 30min. After 45min my Lalamove arrived and still no one came up, the girl and the same Indian skinny guy asked my Lalamove driver to come up alone to help me with the luggage. They happily chatted at the frontdesk without even helping me open the door to let the driver pulled out of my luggage. Oh yeah they just helpfully told me ”press the blue button to open the door”. :) I am definitely impressed!
