"this is a unique spot, you can arrive at resort by the resort boat what is very nice. the resort have cosy environment and even they were completely sold out you were no seeing so many persons. the beach is amazing and you can choose your own villa with private pool. the staff is very professional and always there to support you. they some social sustainability activities like planting trees or visit local primary and kindergarten school and give some gifts. they supporting the implementation of system for the children to have water to drink in the school. the involvement of all staff in community is amazing."

"Il resort era bellissimo. Posso vedere che questo è il luogo perfetto per i viaggi familiari. C'è una piccola spiaggia a pochi passi dalla ricezione. La spiaggia a lungo set è a circa 15-20 minuti a piedi. Se atterri a lungo termine, consiglio di andare al resort perché è molto difficile trovare su una moto. Se prendi una moto, assicurati di organizzare qualcuno che aspetta sulla strada per mostrarti la strada. Tutto il resto è stato grande."

"Siamo stati sfortunati a viaggiare in bassa stagione, che a Koh Rong significa il 99% di pioggia ogni giorno, da quanto ho sentito dalla gente del posto ne sono pienamente consapevoli, ma tutte le prenotazioni e le attività sono come al solito ma non possono essere godute, come lo snorkeling, la barca per barbecue ecc. a causa del meteo siamo rimasti bloccati in hotel per il 90% del tempo, NON c'è la TV (è scritto nei servizi della camera, l'ho letto troppo tardi) quindi fate attenzione, soprattutto se viaggiate con bambini piccoli. La piscina non è un'opzione a causa di tuoni e fulmini. Costa 15 USD arrivare in hotel dal molo. Non c'è un bancomat sull'isola, solo uno stand che ti consente di usare la tua carta per pagare il locale, poi ti danno i soldi, questo è addebitato all'8% 😡 Questo è importante perché per mancanza di connessione a Internet non puoi sempre usare la carta per pagare al ristorante per i tuoi pranzi e cene, anche quando puoi, c'è una commissione del 3% per farlo. Tutte le attività devono essere pagate in USD, ma le vecchie banconote rugose non sono accettate, anche se vi sono state date da altri commercianti sull'isola o se le banconote si sono bagnate un po' sotto la pioggia, il che era un problema frequente. Quindi venite con un sacco di dollari nuovi o vi ritroverete bloccati con poche opzioni. La sera prima del check-out, abbiamo chiesto allo staff di informare la compagnia dei traghetti che avremmo preso il traghetto delle 9:30 per Sihakouville (come indicato dalla compagnia dei traghetti). Abbiamo prenotato un viaggio di ritorno alle 9:00 per il molo come consigliato. Tuttavia, quando siamo arrivati, il traghetto stava partendo alle 9:15. Non eravamo gli unici rimasti indietro. Alcune persone avevano un volo da prendere più tardi quel giorno e sono state costrette a pagare altri 17 USD a persona poiché, secondo loro, era ”impossibile” farli entrare in una delle barche quasi vuote di una delle altre numerose compagnie di traghetti, perché non lavorano insieme, alcune famiglie hanno pagato fino a 70 USD per non perdere il volo nonostante non fosse colpa loro. L'hotel era standard, per un hotel sulla spiaggia, belle capanne, i letti erano puliti e comodi e il punto forte era sicuramente il cibo al ristorante, nei 4 giorni abbiamo provato molti piatti tutti deliziosi. Immagino che durante la stagione soleggiata debba essere una bella posizione e un bel hotel. Detto questo, pensavo già che fosse troppo caro per la bassa stagione rispetto ad hotel simili in Thailandia e Bali, quindi per me il prezzo che pagheresti in alta stagione non lo prenderei in considerazione, specialmente data l'intera esperienza con il traghetto e gli USD. ☹️"

"Pros: - the most beautiful beach I've seen in my life. White sand as thin as flour. Transparent water. Fish swimming around, seashells, crabs... - kids love it. There's almost no waves. You can walk 50m into the sea and the water just reaches your waist. Great for little kid. Our 1.5 y.o. kid loved playing in the water. - the restaurant of the hotel serves fusion food. Delicious and not pricey. The neighboring hotel Your and Me has a restaurant that makes more traditional khmer food that is also delicious. - the room is spacious, bright, with an incredible view. Anyway, you will spend the whole day outside. - for 100$ you can take a boat and do fishing, snorkeling, touring the island. - the hotel has free kayaks, paddles. Can improve: - the staff is very laid back. They are very nice but at the restaurant for instance, better go to the bar to order I saw people do that rather than waiting for someone to service you. Everyone seems ok with that. Cons: - the shower is outdoor. So washing outside trying to avoid mosquitoes is not great. One night we had a visitor, a huge spider fell on my wife while she was giving bath to our kid, it was the size of my hand. Not a great experience. But we'll this is nature. Can't fault the hotel. - we staid at a double room the night before. And the only difference was just a few intelligent change in furniture : trash in with a lid, glass door in the restroom so natural light comes in, a bathtub that was not really useful. For these small changes the price difference is huge. Important Note: I learnt unfortunately that the island is infested with sand fleas. All the hotels are facing this issue. A bite is not dangerous but bothersome if you're allergic which was my case. My wife and two kids had no issue. But I was bitten on my back because there was some sand on my bedsheet and the sand fleas had a feast at night. My back itched crazy for one week. The bad thing is it seems hotels have no pharmacy. So be prepared and bring your own topical cream or cortisone cream, and antihistamine just in case. It seems I was the only one in the hotel to have this issue but googling it I found a few bloggers describing having this issue. Note 2: there's a ferry that can bring you directly from Sihanoukville to the hotel's beach, one per day. We took the GTVC to LongSet Beach Pier, then had a taxi, 5$ per person. We did that. It was a smooth ride. The taxi was a great experience"
