Holway House

Fantastic B&B in an ideal location, nice and quiet but only a short walk from the town and seafront. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything you need. The breakfast was very good with a varied selection & all freshly cooked. Lucy & John are perfect hosts, friendly & knowledgeable. We will be back!

Perfect host. Awesome Breakfast. Perfect stay. Lucy is an incredible host; so bubbly, knowledgeable and friendly as well as being very talented ( home made jams and choice of decor ). John is a brilliant cook. Our Full English breakfast was superb. The bacon definitely one of the best we've ever had anywhere. The fruit for breakfast was also top quality and there is a good choice of cereal and yogurt too as well as the home made jam and marmalade. We stayed in the first floor room 1 which was beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a spar bath and shower in the bathroom. My first bath for over 5 years so that was very good. Holway House is nice and close to the town centre for walking to good places to eat in the evening and beach. It might be on a main road into Sheringham but the room was very quiet and we didn't hear any traffic noise. Thank you very much Lucy and John.

The Bed and breakfast is just outside the main busier part of town so it is located in a quiet location. The room was spacious with a few pieces of vintage furniture offering plenty of storage for a longer stay. The bed was comfortable with good pillows and duvet with added pull up cover for colder residents. The room even had a fan if required (excellent addition) The shower was good quality and simple to use. All aspects of the accomodation were really clean, pretty and well presented. There were some lovely touches with unusual art work throughout the house. Tea and coffee making facilities and fresh water were provided on a daily basis. The breakfast room was bright and airy and again had some lovely original features.The actual breakfast was of a very high standard offering wonderful chopped fruit and greek yogurt, cereals, granola. poached eggs, scrambled eggs, or a full English breakfast. John is a fully qualified chef and Lucy is just so warm, friendly and a wonderful hostess. Everything is very organised and thought out to cater for most guests needs. We arrived by cycle and had a great secure area in which to leave our bikes overnight without worry. They are very helpful with bus times, places of interest and know the best resturants to eat at. The following morning John kindly filled our bottles for our return journey home.

I couldn't have picked a more perfect place and area to spend some special time with my sister. Lucy and John are the perfect hosts and I loved Lucy's sense of humour. Great banter at breakfast, which was cooked to perfection by John. The room was clean and had everything we required. The bath was brilliant! the water changed colour! Lucy gave great advice about the area, all useful and we visited the places recommended. In the words of so many visitors, it certainly is a 'home away from home'! Thank you.

Lovey B&B with an easy walk to the centre of Sheringham and the sea front. The B&B is very clean and has free parking just behind the property. Lucy & John are very good hosts and provide a wonderful breakfast. They also know the surrounding area very well and are happy to provide suggestions for places to visit and where to eat.

My father and I spent a couple of nights at Holway House and I would definitely recommend it. Lucy and John were very good hosts and the rooms were very stylish, comfortable and well-laid out, even the small single and double we had. The breakfasts were superb, especially for me as I have coeliac disease but was very well catered for and the gluten-free butcher's sausages were delicious. The location is very central to the town centre, only a few minutes walk from the Poppy Line railway station and you can be on the seafront in less than ten minutes.
