A great place to stay right in Dapeng Fortress if you want to experience staying in an actual historical house. We really enjoyed our 2 nights' stay at Buyan Inn.
The host, Tony was very friendly and helpful and speaks excellent English. We managed to contact him through Wechat about our arrival and he walked out to meet us to show us the way to the inn when we arrived by DiDi. The inn is in the old Town but just a 1 minute walk out so it was very convenient for foreign travellers who don't have their own transportation.
Buyan Inn also has a restaurant. We tried the barbecue and it was delicious.
There are many snack shops in the old Town. We also wanted to try some traditional food and found a traditional restaurant where the locals go to for meals just outside the old Town, a few minutes' walk from Buyan inn.
All in all, we had a very memorable stay in Buyan Inn.

Nice place, very close to the old city. And to the sea. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the house, mix of old and new. Hosts were very kind.

The hotel is located in the Dapeng Old Town but quiet environmentand is in a very good location. Accommodation is old but I am very impressed with the Historic buildings. I would like to use the hotel again on the next occasion.

Beautiful place with soul. I love ancient town and the hotel is in the heart of it. The room has upper lever with a bed and it the lower room is sofavand bathroom. Definitely recommend this accommodation.

I was rather surprised for the pricing, but overall a unique stay. The check-in wasn’t the most convenient considering it was so hot outside. I’m also pregnant so that doesn’t help. Upstairs area is nice, but the wooden floors are creaky and I was worried we might fall through the floorboards, lol. Unique stay but I think it should be 400-500 cheaper.

A friendly and helpful staff. It was a privilege to stay in such a unique and stylish room. I felt I was getting a taste of ancient China but with all the comforts of the modern day. I've got to give a special mention to the wooden bath - I loved it.

The hotel was in a very convenient location, but away from the bustle of the main streets. The management was very friendly and helpful. The courtyard and bar were quite charming, and we loved our loft room. It felt very authentic and in the traditional style of the fortress.
