First of all, there is no signage of the hotel in English so it is important to have the chinese name of the hotel in hand. Reception was cold and not very welcoming but can be overlooked. Check in was quick and we got to our rooms without any hassle. Rooms are smallish but adequate and comfortable. We took the triple room (1 queen & 1 single) which is very comfortable for 2 but may be squeezy for 3 but with the price and location, it is bearable. The room provides actual bath and face towels, and not disposables, yay! Rooms come with buffet breakfast which was all local fare. Staple porridge and condiments, one fried rice and noodles and hard boiled eggs. Other stuff are steamed mantou/buns and fried teochew style pastries. Coffee, soyabean and oatmeal drinks. Fruits, fried vegetables and cherry tomatoes provided. In a nutshell, b/f was adequate but could do with some protein besides the eggs. They do try to change the food for variation so that’s commendable. Plenty of shops within walking distance and one convenience store a few steps away. Will recommend this hotel.
