Amazing hotel stay, room was perfect with lovely decor and great facilities. Food was great and hosts were friendly and welcoming. Excellent location with the esplanade and old town in walking distance, great value for money. Would recommend the Fig tree. Looking forward to staying again.

We booked an executive double to give us extra space with a seating area and a king size bed. Sadly, we did not have any extra space and the bed only felt like a double. We did raise this with reception, however, was told it is an executive double but they all look a little different. The room certainly didn’t have a separate seating area just a chair by the radiator at the side of the bed. We paid extra for this and don’t feel this was provided. Other than that, we found the accommodation clean and tidy and staff polite and welcoming.

Clean and modern hotel. Lovely bar and restaurant. We had a lovely spacious room with a big bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were really nice. Staff were friendly and attentive. My only negative comments are that sauces were in sachets and no bedside tables, but otherwise, my husband and I had a really lovely stay. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

We had a lovely night at The Fig Tree Hotel with dinner and breakfast included. The hotel itself is beautifully presented, the suite large and comfortable and staff very friendly and attentive. It's in a great location to Shanklim seafront and the old villiage. I wish we could of stayed longer than a night!

This was our first stay at the Fig Tree Hotel and we would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to the Isle of Wight. We booked a suite which was spotlessly clean, very roomy with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a fantastic shower. The room had a balcony with a lovely view of the church and the sea. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and attentive at breakfast in the morning, nothing was any trouble for them. The breakfast was very well prepared, lovely scrambled eggs and a good selection from the breakfast bar. The hotel is in a great location. Just perfect!!

We got gifted a stay for Christmas which included a one night stay, dinner credit and breakfast the next day. We finally managed to find a date that suited us and we had a lovely stay :) the staff are friendly and attentive and we had everything we needed. One lady (unsure on her name) was fantastic, she was rushing around on her own and it seemed like she was doing everything- she was fab and nothing was too much trouble. Food was ok, nothing to write home about but it filled the spot. Overall we would stay here again :)

This was our first visit to the Fig Tree hotel after wanting to stay there for some time. The hotel certainly lived up to our expectations and will be one we will recommend to friends and family when they come over to stay. The hotel has obviously been completely upgraded and our room was very nice with a lot of modern up to date features. Our bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent nights sleep. The wet room bathroom was also a nice added luxury . We stayed for the Valentines Day special which included a meal and breakfast both of which were very good and freshly prepared. We will be keeping a look out for the next opportunity to revisit for another stay.

We had a lovely stay at this wonderful hotel. Our room was clean and had a great view of the English Channel. The disabled parking bay at the front of the hotel was a bonus. The staff were excellent and nothing was a problem. They even went out their way to make our stay exceptional especially Heather who helped my wife carrying drinks to our room. Breakfast was cooked to order by Chef Steve and very nice. Thank you to Heather, Steve, Billy, Lucas and all the other staff behind the scenes for making our break a restful one. Lee & Dawn.

We booked the Fig Tree for a small family reunion. On arrival we were told there was a private function and we we would be unable to use the bar and lounge. Had we been notified of this on booking we would have chosen somewhere else. Having to go to our rooms before heading out for dinner that evening, we found the tv was not working. It was however replaced quickly. The fan and light in the shower room did not turn off after leaving the bathroom. Having a shower in the ‘wet room’ bathroom, the floor tiles did not slope towards the drain, making the bathroom quite slippery and the whole floor covered with water. The guest toilet downstairs had a waste basket overflowing with paper towels after the party the night before. Our breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The hotel is nicely decorated. In my view, I thought £180 for 1 night in November was overpriced, especially as we did not have access to the bar and lounge. Would not return.
