"This is the 6th visit to the havelock and it just keeps getting better. The rooms are well kept always clean and very smart. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Location is in the heart of shanklin. The breakfast is 10 out of 10 plenty to choice from and excellent quality. All I can add to this is well done Paul & Vicky keep up the excellent work and are definitely coming back next year. 👍"

Luccombe Villa Holiday Apartments

"Our 2nd trip to Luccombe villas was as expected - a lovely apartment minutes from the Shanklin beach. We have booked a family apartment twice now for the Isle of Wight Festival and it is a highly recommended alternative to camping. A short drive from the site and such a well equipped and comfortable apartment with a swimming pool! Can't recommend highly enough"

The Ryedale

"This was a 2-night stay for work. Good communication with John before arrival. Provided with a paid parking ticket for the railway station car park (less than 5 minute walk) on arrival. I had a room 3 facing the garden, great room, comfortable bed, good ensuite, good TV and WiFi. Breakfast is included in the price, but due to my work commitments I had to leave before the timed start of breakfast of 8:15am. I was provided with Bacon sandwich and bottle of water for me leaving each morning at 7:30am - this is great customer service! Places to eat and take away within walking distance. Allowed to use the dining room if bringing food back - which was way nicer than eating in the bedroom."

"Questa era la nostra seconda permanenza, e ancora una volta era perfetta, tutto è chiaro e pulito. La camera della famiglia era enorme e piena di tocchi pensieri, come libri di colore per i bambini, biscotti a casa in attesa di noi, mutandine, vestiti, una bella stazione di caffè e tè. Così tanta varietà per colazione, e tutto cotto perfettamente. Giochi e giocattoli per i bambini significavano che potremmo sederci e goderci una tazza di caffè mentre giocavano. Ci piaceva ogni minuto e rimarremo molto felici la prossima volta che siamo a IoW."

Rylstone Manor

"Mike and Carole are extremely welcoming, cheerful, and hard working hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and ample storage space. Light and airy. We stayed in Fir which overlooks the rear gardens. We saw a red squirrel jumping and climbing in the trees, and green woodpeckers on the ground and on a tree, tapping for ants. A fox was having an afternoon siesta underneath the trees when we arrived and looked out of the bedroom window. So much woodland life to enjoy, and for my husband to photograph. The breakfasts, freshly cooked (ordered the night before) by Mike, and served by Carole, are delicious. I had fresh coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit salad followed by smoked salmon and scrambled egg, then kippers and scrambled egg one morning. My husband chose a full English breakfast with fried eggs. The toast was not made from the normal ready sliced tasteless bread, but from a flavoursome loaf. Plenty of choice and options available. The breakfasts really set us up for the day ahead. They recommended a taxi company to us to enable us to visit Carisbrooke Castle without it taking 1.5 hours on 2 buses, plus we booked taxis to get to and from Shanklin station. Mike and Carole suggested places to visit e.g. Godshill Model Village, and a good tearoom in Godshill, plus Shanklin Chine, which Rylstone Manor backs onto. We plan to stay again. It was like a home from home, with the large sitting room at our disposal too. A truly relaxing and enjoyable 3 nights, thanks to Mike and Carole. Just please improve the dribbly showers if possible."
