Staying at Tavern hostel made our holiday in Shangrila really special! The hostel is located in the old town, close to everything. The room was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. The owners are extemely friendly, very experienced and always ready to help with anything. We had many interesting chats and they recommended an amazing hiking trip to us. The hostel was lively with guests from all over the world and it offers a great chance to make new friends. Also, don't miss out on the food they can cook for you there! We had delicious yak burgers. 100% recommended!

I loved staying at Tavern hostel!
I really enjoyed Christi and her family company. I really felt like I was home. It’s an international hostel so it’s beautiful to meet so many different people from all over the world.
They cook delicious food and also organize wonderful tours for a really good price.
The place is really clean, the rooms very comfortable .
I will definitely come back.

Amazing stay! The hostel had an authentic and beautiful ******* style, with great home-cooked meals available! The host was warm and friendly, and provided us with great tips for our travel plans. She was really helpful and spoke English very well😁

They are very kind and have rich experience and knowledge for the region.
They arrange several a-day-tours and multiple days tours and provided a lot of information. They also offer amaizing foods(we loved their Yak Burger and pork belly bbq)
The room was clean and cozy and we were touched how much they tried to help us and make sure our trip goes as we planes.
Defenately recommend the hostel

Je suis resté 5 nuits dans cet hostel bien situé, c’était très agréable et confortable pour moi, j’y aurais volontiers séjourné plus longtemps.
Les hôtes sont adorables et très aidant. J’ai pu avoir de précieuses informations pour la planification de la suite de mon itinéraire ainsi que pour réserver des expéditions.
L’hôte est guide montagne donc il connaît bien la région et les itinéraires.
Les nuits y étaient très calmes et confortables et les lits étaient équipés de couvertures chauffantes en cas de besoin.
J’ai particulièrement aimé rentrer a l’auberge après mes journées et retrouver quelques personnes près du poêle pour discuter, j’avais l’impression d’être un peu a la maison.
La bâtisse en bois est vraiment jolie, on s’y sent bien, et les sanitaires sont neufs et bien entretenu.
Il est aussi possible de se restaurer sur place, je recommande les talents culinaires de l’hôtesse. Le menu est varié et j’ai pu expérimenter un plat coréen.
Bref, rien a redire si ce n’est ; Merci

사장님 부부 정말 친절하시고, 숙소도 깔끔합니다.
공욕 욕실 사용했는데 다른곳과 비교가 안되게 깨끗했습니다.
이번여행에서 제일 좋은 기억을 만들어주신 사장님 부부에게 감사드립니다.
그리도 가시면 꼭 삼겹살과 돌솥비빔밥, 야크버거는 꼭 드세요!! 진짜 맛있고 가성비 최고 입니다!

It was the best choice of this trip!
The owner and his wife are very kind, and the accommodation is neat.
I used the public bath, but it was incomparably clean compared to other places.
Thank you to the owner and his wife for making the best memories of this trip.
If you go there, make sure to eat pork belly, stone pot bibimbap, and yakburger!! It's really delicious and cost-effective!
Make sure to visit Shangri-La when you come!

I spent 4 great days in this ******* house, the beds are comfortable, the showers are hot and clean, the Korean food on offer is super tasty, but above all the a**osphere is incredible!
The owner Jun introduced me to Korean barbecue, and even took me hiking in the mountains around Shangri-La for the day, which was truly an unforgettable experience.
If I ever visit Shangri-La again, I’ll surely return to Jun and his family's home, as my stay here left such a lasting impression on me during my trip! I highly recommend it! 😎
