Dongdaemun Hotel

The hotel was located right in front of DONGDAEMUN, so it was so easy to find. The subway was also convenient when you were going to move to another place far away because Exit 1 LINE 6 and Exit 4 LINE 7 were right in front of the hotel. So if you visit Korea because you want to enjoy a concert or other festival, I highly recommend this hotel. Also, it seems that the interior of the hotel has been newly constructed. So the hotel lobby was very clean, and there are washing machines and dryers on the first floor. The usage fee is free, and laundry detergent is sold separately at reception. It seems that the hotel breakfast is currently being prepared. It will be held next week. The interior of the room was also very clean. The air conditioner was also very cool. The staff was kind enough to ask for the air conditioner to be operated in the room at reception before entering, and it can be controlled remotely. I will visit this hotel again on my next visit to Korea.

Dongdaemun Tourist Hotel is right across from Dongdaemun Station, making transportation and sightseeing very convenient. It’s a new hotel close to Cheonggyecheon, Myeongdong, Gwangjang Market, and Dongdaemun Yellow House—all within walking distance. At night, you can enjoy the beautiful Dongdaemun night view nearby. The staff were friendly and even upgraded my room for free. There’s a self-service washing machine, iron rental, and luggage storage. A WOWPASS machine is available. English-speaking

Pros: newly renovated, close to train, huge TV with all streaming services included (but slow to start up), universal sockets (except bathroom), nice bathroom, mini fridge, desk, electronic bidet, blackout curtains, lots of space for your own toiletries. Quiet room with solid walls between rooms, good pillows and blankets. Fast check in. Washing machine and dryer in the lobby, buy cheap detergent in front desk. Cons: firm mattress, uncomfortable for me. Small window, little natural light even midday. No shower door/curtain (water everywhere), low water pressure, max height in shower 175cm before hitting overhead shower nozzle, no soap pump at sink (instead, tiny soap bar), lights turn off mid-shower if not turned on in a specific way (dangerous). Bottom line: very comfortable hotel in a decent area (not the best), but has some room for improvement. Good value, would recommend.

It was convenient to go to Myeong-dong because it was located right in front of Dongdaemun Station. Heunginjimun is also located in front of it, so it's good to see at night, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to DDP. It's newly opened, so the rooms are clean and tidy👍👍👍

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel near Dongdaemun Station! The location couldn't have been better—it's just a few steps away from the subway, making it super easy to explore all of Seoul’s top attractions. The room was not only spotless but also spacious and very well-maintained. The bed was so comfortable and plush, which made it incredibly easy to relax after a long day of sightseeing. What truly stood out was the attention to detail in the room. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the overall vibe was modern yet cozy. The bathroom was also great—clean, with all the necessary amenities provided. The combination of a great location, top-notch facilities, and amazing service made this hotel a perfect choice for my trip. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul, and I’ll be staying here again on my next trip!

The location is great — it’s right in front of Dongdaemun Station. Since Lines 1 and 4 are nearby, I took the airport railroad to Seoul Station, transferred to Line 1, and got here easily. It’s also nice that you can go to Myeong-dong on Line 4. Cheonggyecheon Stream is right in front. It’s close to the Dakhanmari (whole chicken soup) alley. I saw Gwangjang Market on YouTube — the twisted donuts looked delicious.
