As a long-time Accor Plus Platinum member, I was truly disappointed with our recent stay at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul. We arrived around midnight, and despite our status, no upgrade was offered unless we paid. We declined due to the late hour, but soon after check-in, we were called and told we were overcharged for our third and fourth nights — and I had to go down to the front desk to correct it. Later, we agreed to pay for an upgrade just to avoid switching rooms. The following morning, we were directed to the main restaurant for breakfast (as Club Lounge had closed), only to be interrupted five times during our meal and eventually told we had to pay. Despite confirming our Accor Platinum status, no proper explanation was given. A staff member later apologized, acknowledging our membership should have been honored for the upgraded nights, but at checkout, we were still charged nearly ₩200,000 for breakfast. This experience felt disjointed and poorly managed, especially for loyal members. We expected the warmth and professionalism Sofitel is known for, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. I hope management improves consistency in recognizing Accor members and handling guest experiences.

I am so glad I booked my staycation here in sofitel. The room is big, clean and very nice bathroom interior. The staff is very kind and accommodating. I love their cafe and I love the jap restaurant! I've been a lot of japanese resto in Seoul or in some other hotels but here is the best! Until next time. I realy enjoyed my time here.

The staff in the hotel are so helpful, especially the staff at the carpark!! They will proactively to help me to find the Uber Taxi when i was waiting at the entrance of Hotel. The accommodation is fabulous that spacious room make us feel comfort! Also they provide diptyque body care that all day smell good!

From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a small army of friendly and attentive staff eager to assist. Their warmth and professionalism set the tone for an excellent stay. Check-in was a breeze, though it’s worth noting it happens on the 6th floor instead of the ground floor. Once you’re checked in, you’ll need to hop on another elevator to reach your room. While this might sound inconvenient, it’s surprisingly smooth. With six elevators in service, I never waited more than 1–2 minutes, so no big deal there! Now, onto the room: wow. It was immaculately clean, spacious, and oozed luxury. The bathroom? Gorgeous, featuring Diptyque products that scream sophistication (though I have to admit, the scent wasn’t my favorite). One heads-up: the hotel only provides soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Essentials like toothbrushes and toothpaste are not included, so pack accordingly or be prepared to shell out 1,000–2,000 won at the hotel. The location is a total win. It’s an easy stroll to public transportation, malls, countless restaurants, a park, and even an amusement park. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, everything you need is at your fingertips. I’d happily stay here again. Now, for my only gripe: I booked the luxury king room with a “city view.” Unfortunately, “city view” turned out to be a massive building right in front of my window. Not only was the view nonexistent, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that the neighbors across the way might be able to see me if they tried. Definitely not the skyline I was hoping for. If you are going to drive or take a cab, prepare to sit in the traffic for more than 30 min even though it is 5 min away since it’s very busy area. Still, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d recommend this hotel despite the less-than-stellar view!

Wow! This is what a 5 star hotel feels like! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was the center of attention. I wasn't used to that in the USA.. But this hotel is great. The area was great and the room was great. There are plenty of things to do and plenty of restaurants to go eat if your not interested at the hotel foods. Overall, I would stay here again if I'm in the area of jamsil. I forgot to take pictures but the photos they provide are accurate.

If taking subway you can head to exit 10 of jamsil station and you can go through the lotte world mall before street level, head straight, take the escalator next to the aquarium up, exit the main doors and cross the road to the left for the hotel. (It it not sheltered/ connected directly between the mall/ station and hotel). We took the side entrance lift up to the reception but if you go further down you’ll see the main car drop off and concierge. The staff service was really friendly, although at the check in reception we were given a list of rules and asked if we had any questions, so the hotel vibe felt quite formal and stiff. Was concerned about the rules on the swimming pool booking and bringing outside food in, but the staff around were kind and welcoming so we soon felt at ease. Was able to rent the required swim cap free of charge. Room was classy, spacious and bed and bath comfortable. We booked the lake view room but one can only see it at the side when nearer to the windows. We had indicated we were celebrating our wedding anniversary but there were no special greetings in the room or wishes at reception, which normally hotels would as part of their hospitality. The lake view from breakfast and the pool was beautiful! Heard it would be even more beautiful in spring! We enjoyed walking around the lake and exploring the restaurants on the other side. Great shopping location next to the lotte mall The swimming pool is small with one lane for laps and others for relaxing. There’s a heated jacuzzi outside and within the beautiful changing area was also has a hot bath and another neat amenities. The gym was huge and had so many machines! All in all a great and beautiful stay! Wish we stayed longer than one night! The only con is that you have the transfer lifts at the reception level each time you go out or in so you’ll just have to meet and greet a lot of people along the way.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would absolutely recommend it—especially if you’re traveling with kids. The service was great and incredibly attentive throughout our stay, making us feel truly taken care of. The hotel is super kids-friendly, with an amazing kids’ room on the 5th floor that our little ones loved. The location couldn’t be better for families: Lotte Adventure World is literally around the corner, which is perfect if you’re traveling with kids aged 3 and up. The subway is also close by, making it easy to get around. We loved the convenience of having two malls connected to the hotel, filled with excellent restaurants and coffee shops. The breakfast was also a highlight—plenty of variety and something for everyone, whether you’re craving Asian or Western options. The gym and spa pool were super fresh and well-maintained, a great bonus for some downtime. And did I mention the service? Truly outstanding. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Hotel was located just next to lotte world mall that has almost most of the big brands and food, beside was also had lots of local food eateries and cafe

My little boy and I arrived at the hotel early in the morning after a long journey. Liam at the front desk was incredibly professional and kind—he arranged an early check-in for us (which was a lifesaver!). His warm hospitality made us feel welcome right away. The room was clean, spacious, and perfect for families. The location was convenient, and the staff throughout our stay were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel, especially for families. A big thank-you to Liam and the team for going above and beyond!

Excellent Experience loved the Hotel, the only downside was the breakfast arrangement on the Weekend. The time slots are just not a 5 Star experience.

Very friendly staff, great places to walk, eat and shop

The hotel is located right next to the Lotte World Tower, which is home to the Korea's tallest Seoul Sky Tower. Although it is not situated in the heart of the old city centre, it has its own edge and is still conveniently served by adjacent amenities.

Signiel was highly recommended and it also had great reviews. However I will not stay here again. I get that luxury hotels are all about being “green”, but maybe still allow me to have my first set of toiletries or upon request. To nitpick and charge seems ridiculous when I’ve paid thousands. For the same price point, there are much better hotels I’ve stayed in Gangnam. The gym is a highlight though, but apart from that, I will not stay here again.
