Myeongdong Mom House

Abbiamo alloggiato in una family room. La dimensione della stanza è adeguata e perfetta per una famiglia di quattro persone. Il bagno però ha bisogno di un upgrade.

La posizione è super comoda, situata proprio accanto a una delle uscite della metropolitana. La stanza è buona per chi viaggia da solo. Non è grande ma è sufficiente. I servizi di base sono tutti forniti. Cucina e lavanderia possono anche essere self-service a uno dei piani.

Il posto era troppo sporco, c'erano insetti perfino nel letto e le lenzuola erano ingiallite.

Do not be deceived by the official photos aa they seem to be from long ago. The room I was given was in a sorry state. The intro said mountain or city view, there was no view to talk about, that is if you even dare to touch the extremely dusty blinds and Window. The sink was faulty on day 1 and I reported it to reception who told me they will need some parts and will change so on day 2. Day 2 came and went and nothing was done because the manager had more important thing to do than repair a faulty sink. Asked again on Day 3 to see if they could change my room since they can't fix the sink and was told 'there's no extra room'. By then,i had already put up with 2 nights with a faulty sink and had 2 more nightscat this place. On day 4, the receptionalist came to me to offer to change my room (I guess they have no intention to fix the sink) but by then I had only 1 night left so i rejected. It took them 4 days to even remotely solve the problem. As per the photos, the room was extremely dusty at places. The receptionist are very polite and communicates very well. Sadly, though they had no power to problem solve. The fridge in the room stopped working the moment you take out the key card. I learnt it the hard way when I went back to warm drinks at night. The best feature is the fridge in the common area.

Accommodation Review: Myeongdong Mom House Myeongdong Mom House is a great choice for its convenient location near the subway and the lively streets of Myeongdong. The heated floors are a highlight, keeping the room cozy during cold weather. The property has an elevator, which is helpful, and most services are self-service, though staff is available during limited hours. Towels are small but can be exchanged anytime at the lobby. There’s also a shared kitchen and washing machine for guests to use. One small issue was the slightly unsteady toilet in our room, but it didn’t affect our stay much. Overall, it’s a comfortable and budget-friendly option for exploring Seoul.

Considering room rate, it’s acceptable. Room was clean and enough amenities. Receptionist was helpful.
