Camp Boutique

Dear reader. If you are worried that Glamping in Iceland is cold or uncomfortable in any way - well then you can stop that immediately. The accommodation at Camp Boutique is as warm and welcoming as the hosts and amenities that come with the small luxury camp. I went there with my family to experience exactly what it is that I'm selling ( I am a luxury travel agent in Iceland) and I was so pleasantly surprised that I will be happily sending many more clients to Camp Boutique in the future. I already knew that they were really good but they far exceeded my expectations. The heated beds were so nice and warm - you could set yourself to be medium to well done over the night and it was fantastic. The shared facilities offered a great opportunity to get together with other guests and we met a family from Belgium with whom we shared stories, laughter, sauces, olive oil, some good wine and eventually our rack of lamb which my husband had masterfully grilled outside on the BBQ available for us to use. Jola was a particularly lovely host and she made the stay even better with her inviting and helpful attitude. I recommend whole heartedly Camp Boutique for anyone that is looking for a hospitality experience that is different from the usual hotel room, connecting with nature and people in beautiful settings and then having a wonderful sleep in the their super cozy tents. Amazing accomodation! Everything clean, nicely equipped and cozy. The owner thinks of everything, everything you need is there. She is also very friendly and helpfull and always ready to give usefull tips. Loved our stay!

We loved our night spent glamping at Camp Boutique. Jola was communicative prior to our arrival when we thought we might be late and was pleasant when showing us around after our arrival. She checked the heater in the tent (we were there in early June but it was definitely chilly) and ended up moving us to a different tent because she was concerned about the heater staying on. Everything inside the tents was comfortable are carefully chosen. The heated mattress pad is a particularly nice touch. I'll note that you're in tents, so you'll still hear a bit of other people (morning alarms, distant snoring, etc) but on the whole, we mostly just heard some wind, birdsong, and the patter of rain on the tent. The shared areas were also great. Honestly, I couldn't imagine a better shared bathroom space—it featured individual locking areas for you to shower and so on. If all the tents were full, you might have a short wait ahead of you to shower, but we were there on a night when only a handful of the tents were occupied. The kitchen was well-stocked with necessary items for cooking. We particularly loved the converted sheep's shed, which was a cozy place to sit and unwind or chat with other guests. Overall, I'd definitely recommend staying here for a night or two as you enjoy the Icelandic countryside on your Ring Road adventure.

The facilities are incredible, you have access to the main house 24/7 which has beautiful showers, toilets, full cooking facilities and a living room. On the other side of the camp is a beautiful, cozy lounge barn, we were imagining the fun you'd have if you travelled with friends! The tents are stunning and have everything you'd need including eye masks, room heaters, heat pads in the bed and ear plugs. The location is remote, we arrived in the fog and it was super spooky. It felt like forever to walk to the beach then when the fog lifted the next day we realised it really wasn't very far. My only downside is that I struggle to sleep in the light and a white tent in 24 hr light is LIGHT.
