Hotel con vista mare a Brighton and Hove

"My daughter and I loved The Old Ship Hotel. The location was perfect, the beach is just over the road, the Pier was a few minutes walk away and the shops are basically just round the corner. Our room (a twin room) was bigger than I expected. Tea and coffee with a kettle was great as I was gasping for a cuppa when we arrived. They even supplied ear plugs because it can be a little bit noisey at night (this was mainly from the large hotel opposite). Quite a large bathroom, with a bath and shower, and complimentary shower gel, shampoo and soap. The room was clean and no dodgy smells. There was a fan, but we didn't need it, the partially open window was enough. We didn't ask for a room with a sea view, but it could be seen if you looked to the right. We were on the 3rd floor and there is nothing wrong with the lift (ignore other reviews). Breakfast was great, a decent selection to suit everyone. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night; it was amazing! A decent price too. There was loads of seating on the ground floor. The bar was great too. We needed to store our luggage before and after and it was stored securely, with a numbered tag, only staff could access it (unlike a different hotel nearby that simply left your luggage near the reception desk for anyone to access). Considering the low price we paid, the hotel truly was amazing. Lovely staff, clean everywhere, big rooms, great food, fantastic location, what more could you ask for! I will be booking again next year. My mum could easily come with us, she uses a walker, and the hotel would definitely be suitable for a less able person."

"Was upgraded to twin room which was appreciated. Room was well presented with enough storage space. Bed comfortable. Large bathroom with good shower. Just remember to close window blind as window not frosted glass! Breakfast was included and was very tasty although choice was limited. Service at breakfast was quick and staff friendly and helpful Check in and departure was dealt with efficiently and was able to leave luggage for a few hours."

"Great location, room very clean, good customer service would of given it 5/5 till the last day when one of the staff walked into our room early morning when we were asleep which was unacceptable and then couple of hours later an hour before check out we had another member of staff knocking on the door."

"Ho visitato mia nipote per il suo trattamento di compleanno, purtroppo è stato il fine settimana della cattiva tempesta. Siamo stati delusi che non c'era TV nella stanza o altrove in hotel , anche la finestra della camera non si chiuse correttamente e il vento e la pioggia si ruggivano tutta la notte . Il personale era bello e ci piaceva il nostro colazione , anche se ci dispiacevamo ancora una volta che il ristorante non era aperto e dovevamo sopportare la tempesta per ottenere il nostro pranzo serale ."

"Questo è un bel hotel con camere ben dimensionate. Il personale è amichevole e utile e c'è un bel bar nella zona di accoglienza con bevande e snack a buon prezzo. La posizione è un po' più lontana di quanto previsto, tuttavia c'è un fermo di autobus letteralmente fuori dall'hotel, quindi arrivare al centro di Brighton non è inconveniente. Io resterei qui di nuovo."

"Pros first. Great rooms, great staff, clean and looked after hotel, right on the front. Near to everything. Cons Hotel is also a club / pub and is very loud till 4pm during the weekends. All rooms are above the bar / club so had little to no sleep the entire time we were there. They do provide ear plugs in the room but this hotel is suitable for the young ish amongst us of night owls. Wouldn’t go back but only because of the lack of sleep. Booming bass and a good nights sleep are not a marriage made to work."
