Chic Hotel Santorini

This was my 4th time returning to Chic Hotel, and after the new owners took over in early 2025, there are a lot of improvements needed to restore Chic Hotel's name. Before, Chic Hotel was a 3 star hotel trying to provide a 5 star hotel experience. Now, I would rate it as a 2 star hotel experience charging you a 4 star hotel premium. Below is short list of the major disappointments experienced during my stay. 1) Breakfast. Before, breakfast you get to choose what you want, how you want your egg done, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Now you get juice from concentrate, an oily omelet, and low quality bread. No bread sticks, and no freshly baked croissants served like they used to. Jam and honey provided are the cheap plastic ones instead of the higher quality jam in a small glass. Coffee is luke warm. Fruits used to be peeled and served as a fruit salad. Now the fruits provided are washed but not peeled and rotten inside. 2) Bed. Chic hotel used to be the best bed you can find at a hotel and something I was looking forward to. The mattress was super comfortable, and the pillow supported your head just right. Now, the bedding is the typical medium firm mattress with a pillow that cannot support your head. The duvet used to be thick, now it is a thin blanket of linen material. I had to ask for another one and use 2 at a time. 3) Cleanliness. In summary, it was disappointing and dirty. Entered the freshly cleaned room on first day only to find make up on the pillow case, hair on the bed. The linen blanket had yellow stains all over. Even on a new blanket provided, there are yellow stains all over. There were fingerprints from make up on 2 of the light switch panels. Room was not cleaned/made on our 3rd and last night of our stay. Shampoo was never refilled and I had to ask for more from the reception everyday. There is a lot of room for improvements to be made, and I will highly advise you spend your money elsewhere. It is not worth the premium they ask for. The only reason why Chic hotel will be my choice again if I return to Santorini, is the secluded location the hotel is located in. The rooms are just out of view from tourists that goes exploring everywhere and you can have some privacy while using the hot tubs that don't work.

Took the senior suite. Room was oddly shaped with the toilet a few steps down. But it was quite cool. Toilet seems to encourage couple showering with 2 shower heads and plenty of space in the shower.  Room wasn’t too far from the top of the walking street so that made going in and out easy.  The outdoor jacuzzi faces the setting sun and the view was just memorizing. We had our breakfast on the balcony and it was just great.  Staffs once again were helpful and courteous.

Location : You can not find a better location than this hotel. The location and exquisite view are unbeatable. And close to everywhere. Hotel Facility : as hotel built on cliff, there are many small things needs repairs, and some places are needing update. during our stay, our shower leaked badly, also the water is not going down which they have fixed as much as they can and as quick as possible. but we have indoor jacuzzi room , which the jacuzzi can not be turned off, and make the bathroom super hot and uncomfortable , feels like sauna room , and their AC are not super strong, so ,if we keep bathroom door open, hot air come to the bedroom , if we keep the bathroom door closed, then, inside of the bathroom is super hot ( like sauna ) , you will instantly sweat if you step in bathroom if you keep the bathroom door closed. Food Service: they serve breakfast which you have to chose from a list every night and they will deliver to you in the morning. The quality and selection of the food is quite limited, basically, you get choice of egg, bread with juice and coffee, very basic continental breakfast but without and meat . Their coffee is super weak, if you are a coffee drinker, suggest you to bring your own. breakfast does not serve meat , if you wish to have meat, you have to ask for it and they only have deli ham for you. there is one day , i actually went outside eat breakfast as their food it just too plain and simple , lack of flavor. Their breakfast does not meet up with the rate they charge for the hotel. Service and Value : Their service is limited, when all of their ten rooms are occupied , be prepared to receive your breakfast very late as they only have 1 person to bring breakfast to each room. And if you request something to be fixed , it can only be done in the morning time as their maintenance guy only work in the morning time, their manager also leave mid afternoon, there is only 1 person who has limited resource to help you. Overall, this is hotel with super great location and view , but limited in service. I would still recommend this hotel for its location and view, suggest to book OUTSIDE jacuzzi room and without breakfast option ( eat breakfast else where - you have many choices to chose from walking distance from the hotel )
