Dome Santorini Resort

An amazing resort with incredible staff that can't do enough for you. Rooms all have pools and they are heated to 28 degrees, people say they aren't heated as they expect it to be like a hot tub it's not it's a pool. Very modern resort close enough to walk to Oia if you don't mind the hills if not get a taxi and walk back

We booked to stay for 7 nights but left after 1. The hotel has beautiful views, the pool area is lovely and many of the staff do the best they can although front of house was brusque and seemed to want to get any interaction with us over as quickly as possible. We are a family of five, we booked a two bedrooms pool villa. The room was dated, we noticed wires at ceiling level wrapped in tape in the bathroom which did not look safe. The room felt dirty, was very dark and cramped for five people and their luggage. There were places to put clothes but not anywhere near sufficient for 5 people and nowhere to put luggage out of the way. There were ants in my daughter’s bed. One of the double beds (which are built into the room, so no chance of shifting it) was directly under the ac unit, which made sleeping very uncomfortable, the extra bed placed in the other bedroom had the same problem. The issues we had with the room were such that there was no point in complaining to staff as moving a bed built into the room would not be possible, the size of the room could not be altered, along with it being impossible to move ac units. So basically our issues were to do with the fundamental size and design of the room and would not have been able to be fixed. We were provided with 3 sunbeds for 5 people, and although we could have asked this to be changed all the other things wrong with the room meant we didn’t bother since by the time this became an issue we had already decided to leave. We went to another hotel, which was cheaper, better appointed and with much more spacious rooms. When we went to say we were checking out, we told them the room did not work for us there was little concern that we had found the room so unacceptable that we were going to leave. Please be very careful if you are considering this hotel. Just to reiterate it does not face the caldera (we knew this before booking so was not a reason we left), additionally the road outside is busy, and looks pretty dangerous to walk along you would definitely need a hire car to stay here.

What a wonderful place! Beautiful view from the balcony, warm and accomodating staff, glorious pool area (and great drinks/bartender!) and a comfortable room. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Breakfast service was always right on time, and delicious. Mike in the office was very helpful in not only all things connected to the resort, but also arranging transportation and reservations for us. Andreas was a big help in carrying luggage to our room. It was great to have a home base on the island that was a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Oja and Fira. Should our travels ever bring us to Santorini again, we would definitely stay here!

It was a very pleasant stay. The resort is away from the village, so it is very quiet and serene. The view is facing the East side but it's beautiful to wake up to. Staff were all very kind and helpful. The room was big with a huge jacuzzi. It has an interesting, unique design. Bed was comfy. Although you can walk to Imerovigli and even to Oia, the buses either don't show up or don't pick you up and taxis are really expensive even for short distances. I was expecting more facilities since the property is called a 'resort' but there isn't much to do. There is a small pool but the water was very cold. There is no indoor pool, sauna or steam room. The restaurant is quite basic and breakfast is served in the room, which is lovely but you need to know what you will want to eat the night before. All in all, it was a great stay and beautiful hotel!

We stayed in this so called resort hotel for 3days with family in may 2023, it was a nightmare to stay at this place. First thing its not kid’s friendly. Manager was rude and not cooperative. We requested to change the room for kids safety (2year,6year old) but it didn’t happen. Junior suite our master bedroom was on second level with open space (no wall, kid may fall down). They were not accommodating with any guest’s request. Private pool/jacuzzi was not cleaned, we requested to get it clean they said its cleaned once or twice a day only, the dust and leaves falling from surroundings, no appropriate answer. Rooms were not upto the mark, linens, bedsheets were old and dirty, asked for extra towel second day, no one came for hour and we used old towels only. Only 2staff in the whole hotel running around, not on time or fulfilling any request, customers service is BIG 0. They hardly answer the call at reception, if you need anything we had to go up to reception and ask for it (like towels, kids milk etc). There is no one available from 10pm to 7:40am, if you need anything. If you ask for breakfast 10-10:30 or 10:30-11am they bring it at 11:05 saying they were busy helping other guests/room, no courteous answer. There is a very small restaurant and limited food drink menu you can have, restaurant is not with all amenities, waste of money as you get food order after an hour or again no service. We had to pay extra for broken balcony door and other friend room’s internet router as they blamed us that we broke it since it was already broken since we got the room. Also internet is a big issue, you hardly get internet in room or in front manager’s office only, no Internet in resort. Over all I would not recommend this place to stay in Santorini or to disappoint your vacation, look around there are lot more better options/hotel resorts with better price, view and probably give you much better customer service. Manager said he would give some discount or some good special treat/surprise next day, nothing happened as he didn’t show up from 2days. We didn’t even ask for it again as they blamed us and we paid extra charges for stay. I would give Dome 0 star as they spoiled our vacation.

It seems that our expensive Greek vacation went horribly wrong There are many places where the website text or photos say one thing and we experienced another. There was a lot of dishonesty and weirdness in this place. We paid quite heavily for the three nights we spent there. What they have advertised on the website and what actually is totally different. They made a very good website, looking at the website, anyone can be duped. Totally unprofessional, rude, arrogant staff. If one wants to ruin their impression of Santorini and Greece, one just needs to go to the front desk of DOME Resorts. Only 1 person serving breakfast in 12 rooms, that's ridiculous. They don't have staff at all. Everyday morning there is a problem with breakfast because of no staff. Most of the time, nobody takes calls at reception. Most of the time it's unanswerable. They advertised a fully equipped kitchen in the villa. On day one they have taken all the plates and everything and none of that is refilled. Bath towels are like anything, age-old. The pool at the villa is in very bad condition, full of dust, insects, and dirty. There is no Restaurant called Gastronomy which shows on their beautiful website. If you see the restaurant, you will never ever go there. We left extremely dissatisfied. we wasted our 3 days staying there.
