Not sure why I didn't put this review in after our trip last year. White Harmony is outstanding. Service is great, location is beautiful. rooms are spotless and spacious, AC works great. Our suite had a first floor bedroom and loft space upstairs with 2 (or 3?) beds where our kids slept. There are 3 ductless AC units in the suite which were adequate in the heat. Our experience with AC in hotels in Athens wasn't nearly as good. Breakfast is fresh and enjoyable with lots of fruit, pastries, croissants, and eggs. Chris is personable, laid back and helpful. Arranged transportation when needed, told us all about Santorini and where to go, what to do. We had multiple enjoyable casual conversations. Cleaning people kept the suite spotless. Hot tub had a nice view. Area is quiet. Bang for your buck is great compared to what you'll pay in Fira or Oia for accommodations like this. The village of Megalochori where this property is located is small but beautiful and quaint with a handful of excellent restaurants and really cool alleys to walk through. Family bakery right up the road from Harmony where the bus stop is, could basically feed you for the entire trip with good cold and hot food and convenience items at reasonable prices (by Santorini standards). It's basically a large deli and convenience store by American standards, and a good one. The big issue is getting back and forth to the beaches, Fira and Oia on the bus system during the high season. Greece is not known for efficiency or organization (apologies Chris, this doesn't reflect on you), and the bus system borders on chaos, especially trying to get back to your location at the end of the night from Fira. Did they ever hear of cue lines? It's a mob scene trying to get on the last buses out. You can be waiting 15 minutes, and then have people of all nations just arriving push in front of you when your bus shows up. Also at busy times we had many full buses pass us in front of the bakery, sometimes 2 or 3 in a row. If you are going to stay here, especially during the summer, I'd get familiar with a taxi company, or rent a car. I've been to say, Bermuda, where the bus system is excellent and wouldn't recommend renting a car as it isn't needed. Santorini...different story. The property itself is 5 stars and I couldn't recommend more highly. Just be sure that you have your transportation sorted out. The staff here will gladly help you with this so don't be alarmed or deterred, it's just something you have to consider.
