We loved staying at La Casa del Organista! The old building has an interesting history, and each room is unique. The location is perfect, because it's a two minute walk from the main plaza, but provides a quieter setting. We liked sitting on the little balcony and watching the changes of the town during the day. There are also lovely sitting rooms for guests. Breakfast outdoors on the terrace was special, with a view of the 11th and 12th century stone buildings, and may options of food. Free parking is available below the hotel. Rafael greeted us warmly, and made helpful recommendations of what to see in Santillana del Mar, and also where to stop along the way when we drove to another town. We always enjoyed talking with Rafael! (He did warn us not to bump our heads on the slanted ceiling in our third floor room, but somehow we forgot!)

Il soggiorno è in un bellissimo villaggio spa. L'hotel è molto grande e moderno con un sacco di pavimenti marmo. Il personale della ricezione ha parlato un po' di inglese e sono stati amichevoli e di aiuto. La nostra camera era una suite junior sul terzo piano. Il letto è stato spazioso, e una grande letto è stato un sollievo dopo la cabina inconfortabile che abbiamo avuto durante il viaggio su British Ferries. La decorazione è sul lato oscuro, ma la vista dalle finestre è più che costruita per questo. Noi eravamo gli unici abitanti in inglese, ma questo era bello, perché abbiamo fatto un'ottima gestione del ristorante per lavorare il nostro modo attraverso il menu in spagnolo. Il cibo era buono e ragionevolmente prezioso. Il colazione era buono anche e aveva una scelta abbondante. La seconda notte abbiamo mangiato lungo la strada nel loro grande caffè, che ha una bella terrazza esterna. L'attrazione per noi è stata che siamo stati in grado di mangiare prima del tempo di servizio di cena 8.30pm che opera in tutta la Spagna settentrionale. Non è stato parlato inglese, ma abbiamo gestito con assistenti di servizio e Google tradurre! L'hotel è ben noto per il suo Thermal Spa Complex. Stayed here for 3 nights and had an absolutely wonderful stay. Gracious, friendly, and accommodating staff not just at front desk, but at breakfast in the morning and for drinks in the evening. Santillana can get very busy with tourists during the day, but staying here felt like a true retreat and at night it becomes magical. Rooms and beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom spotless. We had a fanastic time in Cantabria, and Hotel Casa del Marques only heightened the experience, would recommend to anyone.

Ci siamo sistemati a metà pensione, come l'ultima volta; ma anche se è uno dei nostri hotel preferiti, ci ha deluso che durante la cena non si lasciasse la bottiglia di vino sul tavolo ( questa volta ci hanno servito vino bianco da una bottiglia iniziata e calda). Per quanto riguarda i posteri, nulla varietà : primo giorno, macedonia di frutta o frutta e secondo giorno, flan di formaggio . nulla a che fare con la precedente volta. Se continua così, la metà pensione non merita la pena.

Es la segunda vez que vamos después de estrenarnos en febrero y tenemos intención de repetir. El check-in y check-out se realiza en el hotel, a poca distancia de los apartamentos y con personal muy educado y agradable. El apartamento básico dispone de un salón comedor amplio con sofá-cama y terraza grande, cocina independiente con terraza y jardín, un dormitorio, una habitación con dos camas y baño. Está decorado moderno y con gusto, totalmente equipado con menaje de cocina y mesa, placa de inducción, micro, tostador, cafetera italiana, plancha, secador, televisores en salón y dormitorio... La parte que afea el apartamento en las dos ocasiones que hemos estado es el baño, con evidentes señales de desgaste en bañera y puertas, tamaño reducido y sin extractor. Atención con la cocina: hay un interruptor para el uso de microondas/extractor y agua caliente/calefacción por separado. Viene todo perfectamente explicado en una hoja de bienvenida con información importante que te proporcionan en el check-in o dejan a la vista en el salón comedor. He leído algún comentario donde este punto lo ponen a parir y no es ningún defecto de ABBA sino una medida de seguridad regulada por la comunidad autónoma de Cantabria. Por favor, lean esa información para evitar sorpresas y comentarios desagradables sin razón de ser. El sofá con tejido anti-manchas suavísimo y las camas comodísimas a más no poder, las almohadas bajitas pero cómodas, dos por persona. Sólo utilizan sábana bajera, agradable al tacto. El edredón, ligero, parecía el mismo en febrero y en junio y sólo hemos visto una manta ligera por habitación. Las toallas son una pasada. La presión del agua, genial, de diez. Y el suelo es comodísimo también, con baldosa tipo rústico y madera en las habitaciones, muy agradable para quienes nos encanta ir descalzos. Por poner un pero, y en realidad tiene su importancia: se oye todo. Las paredes parecen de papel, puertas, pasos, uso del baño... se oye el más mínimo ruido de los vecinos. Limpieza absoluta en todos los rincones. No tan presente en el menaje, entiendo que depende más de la limpieza de cada huésped. No hay problema de aparcamiento, disponen de uno privado bajo los apartamentos pero en la calle hay plazas gratuitas alrededor y es una zona muy amplia y tranquila, a unos 5 minutillos del centro en coche.
