San Lorenzo de El Escorial: hotel con bar

I visited San Lorenzo for one night with a friend, as we wanted to visit El Escorial. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the wonderful people who work there. David was very friendly and helpful in booking our room, while Pedro went out of his way to arrange with kitchen staff a gluten-free meal for me (I am celiac). Maria, the owner, was friendly and welcoming as well. Our room was very clean and furnished beautifully, with a terrific view of the monastery. Both meals we ate there were delicious. Lovely lounge areas with an old-world feel, and light-filled dining areas. Thank you so much for your hospitality…I hope to return one day!

I recommend visiting the valley of the fallen and staying in the inn, I spent a fabulous week in a peaceful atmosphere, listening to the singing of the monks and their prayers is a divine experience, eating with the monks is wonderful, I wish to be able to return soon the experience was wonderful.
