Hotel vicini a Centro de Bellas Artes a San Juan

This was our first stay in this newly renovated “sister”hotel to the Condado Plaza Hotel across the street. I can easily say that this was the best Hilton Garden Inn I have stayed in. The location is just as you cross into the Condado section of San Juan heading east from the cruise ship terminals or at the end if heading from the airport (a $24 taxi ride). It’s a bit quieter than the heart of the Condado. The entire hotel is gleaming— a beautiful airy lobby that opens into the pool area, a breakfast restaurant, and a bar area. We lucked out on an upgrade to a high corner room with panoramic views of the ocean (picture attached) with a wrap around balcony. The room was nicely appointed and definitely upgraded from the previous property. This will be our new favorite when passing through San Juan on the way to adventures beyond. The only negative is the street noise on the side of the hotel but it was balanced by the view in my humble opinion— the view from the other side is of the lagoon also very nice.

Unfortunately, the high expectations I had for this place were lacking. First of all, I booked a deluxe room which included a TV in the room, sofa bed and was supposed to have its own entrance and privacy. As per the instructions on Hotels.com it stated that I should contact the property at least 24 hours in advanced for check-in details. I did just that and was met with a return message stating that I would receive the information prior to check-in on the day the reservation was to begin. Nevertheless, I didn't receive it until 4:15pm, mind you that the normal check-in times, as posted, are 3pm-10pm. Not only did I receive the check-in details about 1-2 hours late but also received a phone call with some confusing information. The lady informed me that my room had supposedly been ”overbooked” by the system and that my room wasn't available for my stay. That they would award me a room inside an ”apartment”, which is usually reserved for Airbnb and as compared to the deluxe room I had booked, included a larger space with a kitchen and other rooms which would be closed. I didn't really need a kitchen since I wasn't planning on cooking etc and was definitely skeptical and thinking how that happened since I had reserved the deluxe room days in advance and wasn't contacted for it at all. No other option was offered to me and I decided to go with it and give it a try... Unfortunately, upon arrival my skepticism was met with reality. All the access gates for the property are open, no locks, meaning anyone can enter the property at any given time. The only actual room which was open inside the ”apartment” didn't have all the amenities as the one I booked and the entire ”apartment” didn't have a single TV. Moreover, there were other people's belongings inside the room, ”apartment” and balcony, which in fact had a seating area but the cushions had been removed so it was useless. Another person's sandals, lighter and more surprisingly contraceptive pills were visible upon arriving. I found this to be unacceptable, specially during these times. I didn't feel comfortable and actually questioned the cleanliness and infection control, given that clearly no one had verified the lodging area and took care of the items which I previously mentioned. I felt unsafe at this time, not knowing if there was other people with access to the ”apartment”, given the fact that there were other people's items left in plain view. I contacted the property regarding the findings upon arrival and I didn't receive a response. I was confused about what to do since I definitely didn't feel safe and didn't know how to proceed since there's no front desk in the property. I never heard anything back and decided to vacate the property and seek lodging elsewhere. That meant having to pay for a hotel elsewhere and spend an additional quantity of money than we were expecting but it was a decision I made with my partner because ultimately we didn't feel safe!!!

Dopo sei giorni di esperienza, la camera è particolarmente buona, ma i prodotti di lavaggio avida utilizzati sono di qualità molto pulita. La piscina della spiaggia dell'hotel è molto comoda. We included breakfast with our stay. Each day we had a made to order omelet, which was delicious. The hosts, Nicole, Bianca, and Yan were very courteous and always had a smile. They are what took the overall stay up a notch or two, otherwise, I wouldn't have written a review because there was nothing grand about the hotel. We stayed 5 days. On the first night my husband discovered mold in the bathroom and reported it to the front desk. We were moved the next morning. The rooms need some updating, but the hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to great restaurants and the beach.

Bella boutique hotel. Rimasi una notte tra crociera e casa di volo. Il personale del desk front era super amichevole e utile. La camera dell'hotel era più grande della maggior parte delle camere dell'hotel e il bagno era bello. Il letto potrebbe essere un po'piu' confortevole, ma per una notte era tutto a posto. La posizione era buona e con Uber era meno di 10 dollari per arrivare al vecchio San Juan o al terminale di crociera, all'aeroporto era circa 15 dollari. La terrazza sul tetto era un bonus aggiuntivo. Non ne sapevamo finché non abbiamo letto un commento su di esso. Dovremmo certamente promuovere questo più! La piscina era bella e poteva vedere l'oceano da lì. In generale era un piacevole soggiorno e sarebbe rimasto lì!

Excellent location, next to a shopping center and several restaurants. Accessible to use taxi or Uber transportation. 8 minutes from another shopping center and 15 minutes from the capital area. Castillo San Felipe El Morro and Plaza las Americas shopping center.

Durante il soggiorno al Double Tree By Hilton San Juan, io e mio marito abbiamo avuto la migliore esperienza di sempre. Non so perché qualcuno non sarebbe mai d'accordo. Il personale era cordiale, l'intera area era pulita e accogliente per il COVID, e c'era persino acqua e trasporto gratuiti giornalieri per la spiaggia che si trova a pochi passi dall'hotel. L'hotel offre anche teli mare, sdraio e ombrellone! mi sono divertito un mondo!
