It was a great price for the area. Friendly Staff, easy check in, quiet rooms. Walking distance to shops & restaurants. All was satisfying.

Location…GREAT! Customer service…OK Room accommodations…POOR👎 Cleanliness…0/10 🤢 Super close to the breach (2 min walk), kind staff…BUT…towels were stained and filthy, room furniture was damaged, beds were uncomfortable, bathroom was SUSPICIOUS, the room smelled of wet dog, and the sheets left us itching all night. Checked out a day early and never looked back.

If you are looking for a very friendly place for your dogs, this is the place to be!

If you are a pet owner this is an exceptional property and even otherwise it's a hidden gem. Surprisingly low vagrant activity on the property and the outside lighting is fair. Probably why the management can be nosey and pushy. You get a used car salesman feel at the front desk but, the stay is worth it, if they don't become passive aggressive with you. It does have that California 'control everything' type nuances....Rooms are clean, you won't be afraid to get into the beds or use the furniture. Small accommodating pool and staff doesn't make you uncomfortable using it. Cool location overlooking dog beach in OB, if you are lucky enough to get the ocean facing side. I do recommend this property.

We had a room directly below construction. So loud. Don’t come here if you plan to sleep. Paper thin walls.

It's an OK hotel that is overpriced for what you get. Yes, it's in a nice location near the beach, but the rooms aren't great and the "amenities" are non-existent. If you get a top-floor room facing the lagoon/channel, then the view mostly makes up for it, but the bottom floor and the parking lot rooms (no view) aren't worth it. And now they've added a $15/day "resort fee" for what is essentially a bare-bones motel. We had a MUCH better experience staying on Shelter Island a few minutes away on the San Diego harbor side.

Room didn't have any towels or soap. I had to ask for it. Pretty fun down room with chipped paint and rusted table and chairs outside

Location was perfect as well as the price, however the room smelled like a kennel and there was a homeless camp directly in my patio area that I encountered every time I took my pet out. I really feel like it would have been fine if they would just invest more in sanitation and at least warn about transients since there isn't really anything they can do about it.

The lady at the lobby that checked us in was very nice, and the hotel would be perfect if the bathroom was just a bit better.

Friendly staff, convenient location, large rooms, comfortable beds. Appreciated the docking/charging station for our phones and the laundry room. Older hotel, but our room was clean and so we were okay with that. Could have used two caffeinated coffee pods in the room each day. Felt very uncomfortable sitting on our balcony due to the homeless man who set up his tent in the bushes just a few feet from our railing.

This hotel has all the disadvantages I have ever experienced: Noisy: you can hear someone is walking on the 2nd floor, although I know he is just normally walking. Only provides small bottle shampoo: is the shampoo really too expensive? No room cleaning for 3 days. Smells bad: not sure what the smell is， maybe dogs’? Dirty bedding and flat pillows. Small bathroom. Noisy AC.

The photos online looked nothing like the property. It is rundown with some pealing paint and one night there was stomping above til 4:00am.

The towels had someone else’s hair, they didn’t sweep at all, the kleenex were empty and the coffee machine was dirty. We added another night before checking in and they made us leave the room check out at 11 and wait till 4 to check back in again.

All of the staff was wonderful. The drapes in the room were very hard to open. The location was great. They are remodeling the rooms one by one, so that will improve. We will be back.
