What very few of the reviews mention is that the infrastructure of the hotel is very old. The satellite TV never worked. It always registered “ no signal.” When I plugged the kettle into the socket in the early morning, it blew a fuse and the room went dark. The repairman came, fixed it, and blew it again. I didn’t use the kettle again. One night the remote control of the air conditioning unit went out in the middle of the night and I could not turn it off. (dead battery). The showerhead in the bathroom was broken and could not hang on the wall so I had to kneel on my knees to take a shower”. Another complaint is that all prices are listed in euros, not in Uzbek Soms. All other hotels and restaurants accept Som so prices are inflated. The redeeming feature is the location, so close to the main sites.

I don’t leave reviews often but they went above and beyond especially the young man at the front desk- argamond. -gave us early check in after an exhausting train trip -late checkout -printed for us pdfs -amazing breakfast buffett -comfy rooms thanks again!

L'Argamak Samarkhand is a delightful gem! The rooms are beautifully appointed, offering a blend of traditional Uzbek aesthetics with modern comforts. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is excellent, providing easy access to many of Samarkand's historical sites. The courtyard is a tranquil oasis, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The breakfast provided is fresh and delicious. The only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars is the lack of an in-house restaurant for lunch or dinner. While there are plenty of dining options nearby, it would have been incredibly convenient to have a restaurant on-site, especially after a long day of sightseeing. Despite this, I would wholeheartedly recommend L'Argamak Samarkhand for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff who help you 24/7. Ordermade breakfast at elegant dining room with fresh fruits. Clean bathroom. I was pampered and in heaven. Walking distance to all the sightseeing sights especially beautiful Gur Amir. Trendy bakery cafe , Boulevard Bakery is close by also. They don’t seem to have laundry driers which didn’t make towels fluffy was only minus point. Samarkand is beautiful. I was so happy to be there. And I would recommend this hotel. Next time I come back, I will stay again. Thank you very much L’Argamac for lifetime memory

L'argamak is a very good hotel is a great location, not far from the Registan. The room was a good size, friendly staff and a great breakfast. All the reception staff spoke excellent English and they went out of their way to help. Nice courtyard where breakfast is taken. Rooms not quite as charming as others I've stayed in, so I can't give it the full 5 stars. But a very nice hotel which I would recommend.

Great hotel in a great location! The hotel is within easy walking distance of Registan Square in a quiet area. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast on the terrace looking over the garden. The staff are exceptionally helpful and go out of the way to make sure guests are looked after.

Several reviews are similar calling about how fabulous the property, gardens and roof terrace, breakfast are, which sets extremely high expectations which I didn’t feel it fully lived up to. Whilst the location is favourable and it is one of the more decent options in town, I found it very expensive for what you get. In addition the payment up front and only in cash is extremely inconvenient - I had better experiences in far cheaper properties in the country.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the Register and in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was spacious and comfortable; we really enjoyed the breakfast on the outdoor terrace. The front desk was accommodating and kind and we felt very welcome.

Classic and quite central hotel, you can walk to the most important places in Samarkand. A beautiful patio, you can also go up to the terrace where you have some very interesting views. Room 301 with views is small however with very comfortable beds. The only problem is that it has a bathtub instead of a shower and that there is no toilet brush. The reception was very efficient and friendly, good English in any case. Breakfast on the patio was very varied and of quality. Excellent cleaning room sevice.

This is a good hotel for independent travellers. There is no lift, and there are stairs to the terraced breakfast area. Our room was spacious and functional. It was very pleasant eating breakfast on the terrace of the rose filled courtyard. The hotel is in an excellent location- easy 10 minute walk to the Registan and less than 5 minutes to Temur's Mausoleum.

We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel very much. Nice , cosy and very quiet .Excellent, friendly and competent staff. The manager speaks perfect English and helps whenever needed. The breakfast is great, with variations of local food. We had three different rooms, all were ok and perfectly clean.With refrigerator and Coffee/Tee facilities, one had a original Nespresso machine . You have to arrange yourself with a low water pressure in the bath, but that was the only minor point you can complain about.We can definitely recommend the argamak Hotel.

Beautiful small hotel run by kind and considerate people. We had a lovely time. From the window of our room we had one of the best views I have ever had - of Amir Temur's mausoleum! Something to remember for life. Very very nice breakfast, fantastic location for all the sites in this wonderful city. Thank you.

Wonderful people - so very kind. From changing currency, arranging amazing tour guide and car, to booking restaurants. Great location. Hugely helpful and generous, as were everyone in Samarkand. Such an easy to walk around town with so many wonders to see. Mausoleum, mosques, wine tasting, carpet factory - amazing place.

This hotel is exceptional. A traditional hotel set off the road close to Gur Amir. It is unassuming and charming. it is incredible in comfort, cleanliness and in attention to detail. It is managed exceptionally well by Sharofat and her team. Each member of staff are so kind, helpful and attentive. It is close to all the main sights. You can walk to Registan through the park paths opposite the road end in 10 minutes. This is a charming oasis in the city bustle. Definitely highly recommend.
