4R Regina Gran Hotel

We are just back from this hotel. Cannot fought it at all. Rooms, food & entertainment was all great. Rooms cleaned daily. It was a great holiday

Just come back after a 11 night stay at this hotel. The hotel was extremely clean in all areas. The buffet restaurant had a wide variety of choice and the food tasted lovely, plenty of staff around to clear tables. The pool bar cooked snacks to order and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel also for it's location. In walking distance to Porta Aventura theme park, the beach and shops. Only negative was the pool was extremely deep at one end so you couldn't stand up in it. The shallower end was a lot more crowded because of this.

Never seen a 4 star hotel. Overall the hotel looks nice with a good reception area and nice rooms which are cleaned daily, but that’s where it stops. Day 1 of a week with my 9 year old son saw a pub brawl take place just before the family entertainment was about to start which left my son traumatised and we left , never to return on an evening. Day 2 saw a queue start in reception about 8:30 for the pool which opened at 9am then a mad rush to get a subbed which were not put out and we had to get them out ourselves. We went half board but was shocked to find out that there no drinks included not even water at the evening meal. If you want a base to stay at to do other things it’s ok but that’s about it .

DON BOT BOOK THIS HOTEL- came to this hotel in aug 25 with my family all inclusive , pool area very dirty- a child was even sick in the pool on day one and staff did nothing to clean the pool. Food very poor, my daughter only ate bread, couldn’t order pool snacks pizza etc when the restaurant was open although if you were paying customer you could. Hotel staff very rude, would not understand any circumstances recommend this hotel

Half board visit family of 3. Positives: Rooms cleaner daily. Majority of staff friendly especially kids club staff. Negatives: Breakfast very basic food. Slow process to get it. Poorly arranged spot for plates. Plates from clean section have sometimes not been cleaned. Dirty drinking glasses. Further rooms available to handle big volume of customers but hotel reluctant to open the additional rooms. Overall verdict - this hotel is not a 4 start as it claims, and we would not use this hotel again. We have stayed at many other hotels in salou that are better - vila romana, Blaumar, Albatross to name a few.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone plain and simple. The pros: (but they’re just basics) *The hotel is clean and tidy (barring the pool toilets, more on that later) *The rooms are modern and clean. That’s it. Cons: (brace yourself) If you arrive at 10am as we did we had to wait until 14:30 to check in. You cannot get bottled water on the all inclusive. So if you’re by the pool all day your hydration needs will cost you €2.50 a bottle. The pool. WOW what an ordeal. It doesn’t open until 09:00 and I mean 09:00 not a second before. The entire hotel queues in reception right around into the entertainment suite. There aren’t any beds laid out. They are all stacked up at the back of the pool. Then once the arrogant women in reception stands behind the counter with her watch ticking down the seconds 57,58,59 -09:00 she will turn the switch to open the doors. Let’s the wacky races begin. The everyone running down to the pool and grabbing beds off the piles and launching them across the pool area to an awaiting partner who’s secured their favoured spot. People getting whacked left right and centre. Then don’t dare leave the pool area. Even if it’s for breakfast or lunch! Once you’ve left the pool area 30 mins later your stuff is removed and your beds are gone. The pool area must have been built thinking 75% of the hotel would be out and about because it’s rammed like sardines and the pool is full to the brim from 9-7pm. From the aerial view the bridge going over the pool every Mathis to the left is 2m deep so completely useless as no one can stand in it. That means 100+ people are rammed into to an area fit for 40 people max. The pool bathroom has 3 cubicles toilets that are not usable during any part of the day as there are kids that go in pee and poll over the place and I do mean all over the place. And they’re NEVER cleaned. There was diarrhoea all over one of the cubicles and my wife went to tell the receptionist to get a cleaner as it’ll be getting trod on and it’ll be in the pool and people will be ill. THREE further times we went to reception over the next 2 hours as it was still there. Eventually because my wife made a scene and refused to leave until a cleaner went to the toilets. Disgusting. Buffett: You’ll get fed better in prison. If you’re half board you’ll literally allowed to eat and nothing else. You can’t even have ice cold water. All inclusive have a nice iced water machine but you’re not allowed to have it HB. You get a warm nasty jug that they’ll bring you just as you’re finishing. Hot drinks and the juice machines are turned off after breakfast. It’s the same old slop day in day out. If you wanna change it up and eat at the snack bar. 9/10 they get your order wrong and I wouldn’t chance the burgers (they’re pork) and always pink. Everyone complains. The evening entertainment doesn’t start until 10pm which is by far the most pathetic thing you will ever see day in day out. It’s like they just drag in any old pe
