Our two night stay in this hotel was outstanding. The hotel itself was clean and our room very comfortable. The best part of our stay was the service. Every staff member from the moment we entered was welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The included breakfast was the usual buffet but with a few extras including a wider variety of fresh fruit, more types of bagels and herbal teas. The ladies working the buffet were excellent. They were constantly cleaning, refreshing, wiping, greeting and making your morning experience a joy. The fresh cut flowers on each table were such a lovely touch. One thing I must mention which may be more a Syracuse comment than a hotel comment is the high quality drinking water. Upon finishing the bottled water given to us as part of our welcome, I inquired at the front desk if it was safe to drink the tap water at which point they directed me to the filling station and ensured me of its safety. I was astounded by the amazing taste of the tap water. I thought it was a fluke, but at every restaurant for the duration of our stay I enjoyed the best tasting water I can remember. I had to do some research and discovered that you lucky Syracusians receive your tap water from one of the finger lakes which is the second cleanest lake in all of the USA! If you are travelling to Syracuse I highly recommend Hampton Inn and Suites North.

Our King Suite was very nice. Having the kitchenette turned out to be very handy. The staff was eager to do all they could to help. On top of that, all the staff members we interacted with were cheerful and friendly. Gary on the breakfast crew needs a special shout out. He is very friendly. The front desk team were able to answer all kinds of hotel and local questions. If we need to return to the area for another visit in the future we will very likely stay here.
