La Villa Mauresque

La mia esperienza è iniziata con un'introduzione tutt'altro che ideale alla mia stanza. Non mi è stata fornita alcuna informazione riguardante le strutture o l'ubicazione di servizi come la palestra o la cassaforte. Inoltre, mi sono ritrovato in una stanza priva della privacy desiderata, poiché situata vicino alla piscina principale e al ristorante. Questa vicinanza comportava frequenti disturbi da parte dei passanti durante tutto il giorno e la notte. Sebbene fosse stato offerto un potenziale scambio di stanza, il direttore non è riuscito a trovarmi quella mattina. Quando finalmente abbiamo parlato la sera, mi è stato detto che l'hotel era al completo e che non erano disponibili camere alternative. Ha detto che potrebbe esserci un'altra stanza disponibile, ma solo il giorno prima del mio check-out programmato, rendendo inefficace qualsiasi potenziale soluzione. Il letto nella mia stanza doveva essere king-size. Tuttavia, sono rimasto deluso nello scoprire che avevano semplicemente accostato due letti singoli, creando uno scomodo divario nel mezzo. Inoltre, pur apprezzando il tradizionale e tipico stile francese antico dell'hotel, ho trovato la camera stanca, sporca e non particolarmente pulita. I disagi continuavano perché dovevamo recarci personalmente alla reception anche per le più piccole richieste, come il gel doccia che non veniva rifornito in un giorno e il servizio in camera, a causa della mancanza di un telefono funzionante nella nostra stanza. Inoltre, si è verificato un problema preoccupante con un'infestazione di formiche volanti nel nostro bagno. Sopportare le formiche che strisciano sulla gamba mentre si usa il bagno è tutt'altro che un'esperienza lussuosa. Inoltre, ho scoperto che l'hotel addebita un aumento del 50% sulle sigarette senza una spiegazione ragionevole. Quando ho chiesto informazioni in merito, l'addetto alla reception ha semplicemente affermato che si trattava di un'istruzione del loro supervisore. Anche se la colazione offerta era soddisfacente, l'ho trovata monotona, con lo stesso cibo servito ogni mattina al buffet. Il lato positivo è che la vista dall'hotel era mozzafiato, offrendo un'atmosfera serena e viste mozzafiato sul mare. A loro merito, ho apprezzato la gentilezza e l'atteggiamento di scusa del direttore riguardo ai problemi affrontati durante il mio soggiorno. Nel tentativo di fare ammenda, mi è stato offerto un bicchiere di rosé in omaggio. Tuttavia, questo gesto, pur essendo stato apprezzato, non ha compensato adeguatamente le varie carenze. Sfortunatamente, ritengo che spendere circa 2500 sterline per 3 notti a La villa Mauresque si sia rivelato un uso deplorevole dei miei fondi. Ho avuto l'opportunità di soggiornare in sistemazioni di gran lunga superiori a un costo più ragionevole.

My husband and I had a great stay at this hotel! It was beautiful, quiet, and clean. The staff was excellent. The views from this hotel are awesome! And we utilized the kayaks and had a great time out on the sea. The hotel room was spacious and lovely.

Exceptional location - great views - beautiful garden. Unfortunately service and quality of food and rooms not up to date. Needs major overhaul. Seems the place needs real management focus as well. Value for money is missing.

Beautiful and elegant hotel with a long history. My family and I stayed a few days at the hotel in July for vacation. Everything by the hotel was designed for the comfort for the guests with elegance and taste. The room was always nicely made up, the service was top standard and descret, the facility was clean and well maintained, the gourmet restaurant and the beach restaurant served beautiful and tasty food. The staff was professional. We enjoyed our stay

Checked in the villa yesterday night, for our wedding anniversary. We booked a junior suite and ended up with the worst suite we’ve ever experienced in a hotel with this budget, the Oscar Wilde. The room is entirely closed, with no views on the outside, no window in the sleeping room, and with no intimacy. The claimed sea view is only when you actually leave the room, to go on the terrace, with zero intimacy again as you’re fully exposed to the walking areas and the pool. Avoid ground floor rooms at all cost when you book here. We asked to be refunded 50-75% of our stay and leave, which the hotel declined, offering a unique solution, an upgrade but… a paying one, to a higher category. Basically it was 2:00am, no other options available in Côte d’Azur at that time of the year, and the hotel gave us the option between the cave room and paying €400-500 more per night to upgrade. As we were held hostages in this situation, and as the Oscar Wilde room is not designed for everyone, we ended up upgrading so that we don’t ruin our whole holiday experience, even if we were clear with the hotel team that we weren’t at all happy with the situation and paying so much to get a proper room matching our expectations (everybodys one actually -meaning a view and light), but - the way it looks, we won’t be coming back, for sure - this has to be the worst value for money rooms we’ve experienced in our frequent travelers life - if you end up booking here because like us, you only read the positive reviews and visited the website, ask for a room on the first floor, not on the ground, and insist on the view, they’re unequal. Hopefully the rest of our stay goes well and we end up changing our minds

Beautiful setting, it feels more like a luxury seafront villa than a hotel. Great food and drinks in both the restaurants. We love having our own private terrace with jacuzzi, loungers and table & chairs. We loved the the decor and it felt very quiet, we were very few guests around the pool or on the beach which gave a feeling of privacy. The restaurant staff and cleaning staff were excellent. Do not miss Le Bouganvilier restaurant, it is excellent. We would love to return.

We had a lovely five night stay here. The Villa has a perfect position and give you the experience of "living" in a spectacular seafront mansion with 2 pools and the typical luxuries of a five star hotel. The food was very good (even if they have skin-on-fries which I hate and should be banned worldwide). The staff were super helpful and friendly. We were able to inspect several rooms of different styles. All the rooms are a little quirky and different, so don't expect a typical style of hotel room. Open your mind however and this becomes part of the fun of staying here. Recommend highly "Shakespeare" and "Apollinaire". Dali room is smaller (top level tower - so beware of stairs) but has a lovely rooftop terrace.

We have just left this beautiful hotel, we loved it as it was just out of the hustle and bustle of Saint Raphael, but still within easy reach. It was wonderful to come back to the splendid surroundings, gardens and pool areas were superb, so relaxing. Staff were all fantastic and treated us so well, would recommend, we will be back.
