Hotel in zona The Nave Screen, Saint Albans

Abbiamo avuto grandi aspettative dopo aver letto il sito e basato sul prezzo. In generale abbiamo goduto del soggiorno ma non era abbastanza 5*. Il benvenuto alla ricezione era efficiente / lukewarm. Ci era anche in corso di lavoro nella zona di lobby. La nostra camera chic non era menzionata al primo piano, né un ascensore né un aiuto con i sacchetti, ma la camera era bella e confortevole, ma la camera era molto piccola per il prezzo e percesse lo standard della camera. La nostra stanza era vicino alle scale e all'intersezione di due corridoi, un po' rumoroso a volte. Mia moglie disse che il bagno era meraviglioso. Mangiavamo nel bistro e pensavamo che il cibo fosse buono, un prezzo ragionevole, ma il posto era molto funzionale. (Investire in un po' di vigna!) La colazione era buona, ma non speciale, dato l'hotel. Uno o due aree stanche stanche. In generale il personale era amichevole e utile. Quindi in sintesi molto bello, ma poteva fare meglio. Rimaniamo ancora - probabilmente, e potrebbe aiutare che le nostre aspettative siano state temperate.

Appalled at the cleanliness in room 133 - carpets heavily stained, covered in dust, hair & fluff. Stains up the walls too. Fixings broken with holes in the headboard. Room smelled so strongly of smoke & damp it was overpowering. Bathroom walls stained & bath/shower area had black mould. Filthy chair - you wouldn't even sit on it in a pub. The bedside light switch was also faulty - I couldnt turn it off without having to move its position and press with everything i had. It had broken bits of plastic in the fitting. I reported the problems several times - but no manager gave me their name during my stay and I spoke to three. They said the hotel was fully booked and that they didn't handle complaints & I'd have to google it. Nobody apologised & they werent friendly. None of the issues were resolved during my 3 night stay. All my belongings smelled of smoke when I got home. It was the beginning of the half term holidays so I didn't have any choice but to sleep there. I stayed in room 133 which is opposite a nightclub that stays open until 3:30am on Fridays/Saturdays. Despite the 'soundproofing' I got barely any sleep those 2 nights. This wasn't just a bit of ”city centre noise” - it was full-on continuous, bass-thumping and people screaming and shouting outside the bedroom window below. I understand that's not part of the 'goodnight guarantee' but they really shouldn't use that room on a weekend. Complained via the website within 7 days after stay & still no response or acknowledgement of complaint. I've stayed in so many premier inns over the last decade or so: Wirral, Blackpool, Leeds Whitehall, Glasgow, Scarborough, Newcastle, Stirling - just to name a few - so I know what to expect. St. Albans was truly the worst.

Ho visitato questa vacanza a poche volte il suo buono e vicino all'autostrada e anche a parcheggio gratuito. Il personale è molto bello e utile trovato pulizia delle camere bisogno leggermente più attenzione, soprattutto il bagno, tuttavia tutto il suo molto buono. Il colazione è semplice n bene per fare un buon inizio al giorno. Il succo non è buono in ogni caso, tuttavia il caffè è bello e ha anche una buona selezione di tè. L'hotel è pulito e non puzza

Grande posizione, grande parcheggio (gratuito) può camminare lungo il canale dietro l'hotel. Personale amichevole e utile. Camera confortevole.

Great hotel. Good location for where we wanted to visit. Left my watch in the room and was able to retrieve it from the cleaning staff a couple of days later. Would recommend to all

I had the misfortune to use this B&B some weeks ago, except that, I am not quite sure you can even call it a B&B. Instead, it is simply a chap, looking to make some extra money on his big house – whilst still wanting to retain the benefits that come with not opening your house to strangers, and paying ones at that. So, here is my warning to anyone interested in renting a room in Leafy Suburban Bed & Breakfast (LSBB). It is in effect a sort of scam that is misleading, and here is why. Do NOT even try and rent this property if… You like B&Bs that are fully transparent in their advertising and you get what you paid for courtesy of your hard earned money You (and anyone that comes with you) do not want to suffer the indignity and embarrassment of having to take off your shoes upon entry (stuff a private owner may demand of you but, a place, intended for public rental changing you also?). I wonder why this is not stated in the his glitzy ads? Because he knows, if he did, nobody would even look at his so-called B&B You want a bit of privacy when using the bathroom/toilet. LSBB advertises its nice looking bathroom/toilet on accommodation seeking websites. What they do not tell you is that, you’ll be sharing with several other tenants. In short, you will need to be dressed appropriately and have to peep out into the corridor each time you wish to use it, to ensure nobody else is using it You like to get what you pay for and get the little things that typically come with a B&B (such as cups or glasses perhaps, coffee making facilities perhaps, etc.). You do not get anything with LSBB – just a small room and nowt else! You want to be close to civilisation such as public transport and some shops maybe. This place is in the middle of nowhere and to even find the place, you had better have a degree in place finding. There are no signs on the long and badly lit road it is on. The lovely looking and spacious kitchen and garden (advertised) are nice, no doubt. However, they are largely for show. During my unfortunate stay there, at NO point was I invited to use either, and although I did not use the kitchen, I have since read on here that, its more one of, it’s all DIY (Do-it-Yourself) in this poor excuse for a B&B. Do not use this property also, if you want to be able to talk (at normal sound levels) in your room whether on the phone or to your companion. We were asked to keep our voice down, which I thought was rather rude. The prices he charges are even MORE than many quality hotels that offer 10 times better service. For one search, he was charging £64 a night whilst many hotels were either the same or less. In short, this is an owner wanting to have his cake and eat it. Someone wanting the best of both worlds. Charge the peasants to have a room in his sumptuous house and keep their money whilst, on the other hand, wanting all the benefits of a private house owner with NO visiting strangers. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Luton Airport and had a generally positive experience. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, especially for early morning flights, as it is just a short walk or shuttle ride from the terminal. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a particularly comfortable bed that ensured a good night’s sleep before an early flight. Additionally, the staff were welcoming and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth and assisting with any queries. The on-site restaurant offers a decent variety of meals, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good range of options. Room service was prompt, and the food quality was satisfactory. The hotel also provides good amenities, including a fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, and business services, with ample parking for those driving in. However, being close to the airport does bring some inevitable noise from the planes. While the windows are soundproofed, light sleepers might still notice it. While the convenience is a huge plus, the rates can be on the higher side compared to other nearby accommodations, so it's worth booking in advance to secure a better deal. The immediate area around the hotel is quite utilitarian, with few attractions or dining options outside the hotel itself. Nevertheless, the Holiday Inn Luton Airport is a solid choice for those prioritising convenience and comfort before or after a flight. The staff’s hospitality and the hotel’s amenities make it a pleasant stay despite some minor drawbacks.
