Soggiornato in questo hotel per caso a causa di un volo cancellato. La struttura é piuttosto attempata e assomiglia ad un tipico cottage di campagna inglese. Molto retro ma sicuramente di forte impatto visivo. Le camere sentono sicuramente il peso degli anni ma nonostante questo sono assolutamente comode, pulite e ben tenute. Il letto è enorme e discretamente comodo. Tutto in ordine e ben curato. L’accoglienza al desk é stata eccezionale, la signora alla reception è stata super cordiale ed efficiente nonché molto empatica, davvero un valore aggiunto. Check out rapido ed efficiente anche se con meno cordialità. A mezz’ora di auto da Gatwick è inoltre molto comodo per raggiungere l’aeroporto. Una piacevole sorpresa.

Lovely hotel, stayed for a long weekend and used the spa facilities - they gave us a free upgrade which was a nice touch! Beautiful grounds, restaurant was lovely and only a short scenic walk to the town Only critique was the pool was quite small without much seating available and the sauna was male or female only - but the rest of the stay and amenities more than made up for it! Also recommend the afternoon tea :)

My husband and I had our wedding here two weeks ago and I cannot recommend the venue enough! Our friends and family stayed at the estate, many of which came from out of the country and everyone loved the comfort and style of the rooms, cottages, and amenities! I am so happy my (now) husband and I decided to have our wedding here! Everything about our big day was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we looked at this venue, I know it was everything we wanted. Our day of coordinator, Leah, was absolutely lovely. Not only is she attentive, but she is kind, thoughtful, and incredibly detail-oriented, making every part of the process seamless and stress-free. I can’t be more grateful to have had her by my side. The venue decorated for the holidays just days before our wedding, providing us with beautiful added decor and magic! My friends and family love the many rooms and areas to explore, including the museum, gardens, bar, terrace, etc. We opted for afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast and pizza for late night bites and our guests absolutely loved it! They offered options for our friends with gf, veggie, etc dietary requirements, and people raved about their meals! They have options for everyone. Between the beautiful venue, genuinely lovely staff, and delicious food and drink, I cannot be more grateful to Leah and everyone at Salomons. I got to live out my fairytale dream wedding here, and I am so excited for every couple who chooses to do the same. You will have the best day of your lives.

Everything was exactly what we needed- nearby to family for our Christmas stay, and a hotel with no fuss, or frills but comfort, good beds, spacious bathroom, quiet, and perfectly adequate facilities, such as good lighting, adequate drawer and hanging space and tea making equipment with a help yourself policy from the supplies in reception. We were readily given a parking space as one of our number is disabled. But the best thing was two outstandingly thoughtful staff members, Alex and Shaun, who could not have been more helpful or kind when one of our group, aged 84, sustained a very nasty fall on the evening of December 23rd. They helped him in to the hotel, gave us supplies of paper towels and a bowl etc to mop him up, with bandages and antiseptic dressings, stayed with us while we contacted 999 and then ordered a taxi to hospital. And even got a couple of chocolate bars incase he needed sugar. In the morning when we returned from A&E they were very keen to hear what had happened. We felt this reflected how well managed the hotel was, and we would certainly return, though we would hope not to repeat that experience!

I was looked after extremely well by Anthony and Amy, who upgraded me to a deluxe suite. This was absolutely stunning and felt so luxurious. I felt very spoilt. I was staying at the hotel to attend a funeral after postponing my stay previously due to a bereavement, and Amy and Anthony were very accommodating about changing the dates of my stay. A lovely hotel and great location. The cocktails were great and the riostto was really delicious. I would strongly recommend staying here as the staff are very professional and nothing is too much trouble. Hope to be back again soon.

This was our second stay & was just as good as the first. Everyone was very friendly, polite & helpful. Room was clean with really good power shower. Food was excellent. Fantastic choice for dinner & breakfast was one of the best we have ever had - all freshly cooked with lots of choice & using locally sourced produce. Lots of parking & electric charging station. This is a very old pub so has lots of character.
