Very good CBD location and walking distance to nearby restaurants ! I was happy to have a walk in this old CBD.

Amazing hotel! It was excellent and very clean!

Man kann sich über nichts in diesem Hotel beschweren. Alles war perfekt für eine kleine Reise.

裝修很新，設施設備功能完好，衞生很棒。典型的HolidayInn風格，適合出差。要是連續住需要十點前掛牌子，不然不會主動打掃。為了控制成本吧。早餐很健康的西式風，誠意滿滿。周圍很多小餐館，都是不錯的選擇。出去兩分鐘就是最大的市民廣場步行街，五分鐘就是本地最大的商場，十分鐘就是火車站，開車十分鐘上高速。

Basic hotel that does the job but the rooms are very small and the entire hotel is dated. Paid parking is available underneath the hotel which we made use of, but there was a policy in place where you could not come and go in the car as you pleased, and you had to wait in line at reception every time (a slow process of sometimes 20-30 minutes) where they wanted you to pay for the time spent in the car park, to then pay again the next time you wanted to pop out. The nature of our trip meant that we needed to come and go quite often throughout our stay as we needed to make journeys in the car. Every other hotel we used on our trip operated a simpler flat daily fee and you could then come and go as you pleased. We did manage to sort it out in the end thanks to one of the staff members but it was quite frustrating.

We have stayed at hundreds of hotels, big and small, 2 star to 5 star. This hotel does many things well but falls down in other areas. The positives: friendly and accommodating staff, clean room and property, secure bicycle storage, walking distance to restaurants, quiet room, comfortable bed, quick elevators, good room lighting, good water pressure in sink and shower, kettle in room. The negatives: what they call air conditioning doesn’t even begin to cool down the room. The air conditioning is great in then lobby for the staff but the “air conditioning in your room is pathetic. What is worse is that they can’t even give you a fan to use to cool down. How about at least installing some ceiling fans? Also the window tilts but does not open so you can’t relieve the stifling air in your room Also the breakfast is minimal at best. You will enjoy your stay if you don’t mind sweating in your bed at night. We wouldn’t stay here again.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Holiday Inn Express Recklinghausen. The management was extremely unhelpful and unresponsive to my request for a waiver due to an issue I encountered as a guest. Despite explaining my situation in detail, I received no support or consideration from the staff. This lack of customer service and empathy was very frustrating and unlike any experience I’ve had at other Holiday Inn properties. I would not recommend staying here due to the poor management and their unwillingness to assist guests with legitimate concerns.

The hotel was pretty new, clean and in the center of the city. I stayed for almost two weeks. Unfortunately there is no gym available. Breakfast was excellent, nothing to compain. Parking in the hotel garage is very expensive. I recommend the parking in the shopping mall, 5 minutes walk (4 Euro per day). I can highlight recommend this hotel.

Stayed as part of a group from the UK. This is a new hotel and of great quality within the HIExp brand standard. All the staff are young, smart and helpful. They converse very clearly in English and go out of their way to be helpful. The rooms have all you would expect, quiet air com, kettle and tea/coffee, good shower, nice TV, very clean on arrival but no daily cleaning service. Breakfast was excellent, always replenished and the breakfast room was clean and attractive. There is lots to see and do in Recklinghausen with a great choice of bars and restaurants. Highly recommended hotel.
