Hotel con colazione inclusa a Rangárþing eystra

La posizione è magnifica per vedere il bellissimo paesaggio dell'Islanda, con vista circostante sulle montagne vicine. Una struttura molto pulita, tranquilla e amichevole ha reso la mia visita più confortevole e piacevole. I colazioni sono molto di buon valore, deliziose e fresche. Anche il pranzo è grande e delizioso.La maggior parte del tempo, il proprietario è presente e molto accogliente, un bene accogliente e caldo all'hotel.

Guesthouse un po’ sperduta nella campagna, ma non troppo distante da un paesino con alcuni ristoranti. All’arrivo dobbiamo chiamare qualcuno che venga a fare il check-in (troviamo un cordless e un cartello con il numero da chiamare). Le aree comuni si presentano ordinate e accoglienti, anche se un po' di pulizia in più non guasterebbe. C’è una grande cucina dove si possono preparare i pasti e una comoda e accogliente sala dove consumarli. Noi prepariamo solo la colazione ed è tutto abbastanza pratico. È sempre possibile prepararsi un tè o un caffè nelle aree comuni. C'è inoltre un grazioso angolo lettura. La nostra stanza è ampia, calda, con letto matrimoniale e un divano. Ha inoltre bagno privato, anch’esso caldo e ben organizzato. In camera c’è una tv con lettore dvd, con il quale si possono vedere alcuni titoli presenti nelle aree comuni. La stanza non è troppo insonorizzata ed è facile sentire rumori dalle stanze confinanti. Comunque riposiamo bene. Il WiFi è molto veloce in tutta la struttura. In definitiva è stato un bel soggiorno.

My wife and I had Hotel Skogar booked for two nights via Iceland Tours.We read the reviews and were not impressed. We contacted Iceland Tours and requested another hotel. None were available. We prepared for the worst. And then we arrived at the hotel. We pulled into the hotel just as registration closed at 2200, but called ahead to say we'd be in later. The friendly clerk, who as it turns out, performs many other duties, had us checked-in in no time. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Be advised there is no elevator. As we entered the room, with an actual key, I was waiting for the big disappointment. The room was beautiful, the view stunning! We had room 204 which is recommended. It is a corner room with views of the mountains, pastures, sheep, and Skogafoss! We quickly got situated. The bed linens and towels were fine, no issues. After a great night's sleep we had breakfast at the hotel. Nothing fancy but it works. Eggs, bacon, toast, cheese, cold cuts, tomatoes, cucumbers, yogurt, and cereal. The dining room was clean and well organized, and crowded at 0800! My only complaint of our stay was that the coffee ran out and was not refilled. Remember I said earlier the one guy working there was doing alot. We did not eat at the restaurant. Thete isn't much else in Skogar. Vik, about 20 miles east, is the nearest town with a small grocery store and a few restaurants, including a nice brew pub. Is it the Ritz-Carlton? No. It is a small hotel in the middle of nowhere in Iceland. The setting is gorgeous and it was a convenient stop on our way to the Eastern side of the island for Fjallsarlon and Jokusarlon. Not sure why there are such negative reviews. Hotel Skogar has charm, is clean and cozy, and is steps from Skogafoss, where GoT was filmed (last season, Jon Snow and Danaerys land their dragons here)! We would stay here again without hesitation.

Il problema principale che ho riscontrato in questa struttura è che pensavo si trattasse di un hotel, perché così viene definito, ma nella realtà è un ostello. Camera davvero minuscola difficile anche solo aprire la valigia al suo intero. La cosa che mi ha dato più fastidio però è stata la muffa ben visibile negli angoli della stanza. Nell’edificio in cui ci trovavamo poi sul nostro piano (e anche al piano superiore) i bagni in comune sono suddivisi uomo e donna, peccato però che fosse presente solo il bagno con doccia per uomini, quello femminile non pervenuto. Per il prezzo che comunque si paga questa struttura per me è un grande NO.

Comfy spacious rooms and good disabled access Like all Icelandic hotels, notices everywhere inform us REMOVING FOOD FROM THE BREAKFAST BUFFET IS A CRIME COOKING IN BEDROOMS ATTRACTS A HUGE FINE

Hotel scelto per la posizione vicino a Skogafoss. Abbiamo prenotato un appartamento con 4 camere da letto, che si trova vicino alla reception e all'edificio principale. Alla reception sono stati super gentili, chiedendo anche se volevamo usufruire della vasca idromassaggio (privata, nel patio del nostro appartamento). Casa davvero grande, con ampio soggiorno con cucina, 4 camere doppie e un bagno e mezzo (uno completo con doccia enorme, un altro solo wc e lavandino). Eventualmente possibilità di aggiungere la colazione, da consumare presso l'hotel.

The hotel is just outside in a quiet location from the main town. The hotel is set with the main building defacing the north with outdoor hot bath tub for the guests. It has a bar/ lounge area and a restaurant with a beautiful view of the surroundings and ample parking. The staff is very friendly and professional and happy to help. Our cottage was a little on small, cozy side but we enjoyed the stay. Everything in the room and the shower room was of a high standard and slept well. There is a coffee machine in the room with adequate storage space with a dining table and good quality toiletries. We managed to see the northern lights again in this hotel for a little while. The only feedback is that they should turn outside lights off to prevent light pollutions which caused a bit of hinderance in our northern lights experience. Otherwise a wonderful stay.

We stayed on a group tour with the hope of seeing the lights with no light pollution. Sadly, too cloudy. Great welcome by the manager, super cheery woman! Awesome food, the evening buffet was fab and they were so good with my GF and DF dietary requirements, I could still have over half the options. Ditto with breakfast. Bought an Icelandic jumper knitted by local lady. They had a few on a clothes rail and encouraged you to try them on. Room good size but pretty basic and REALLY soft beds, like a trampoline! Was fine for one night.

Situazione assolutamente fantastica, con meravigliose strutture, tra cui un grande ristorante e un spa che è certamente unico per un ostello! Le camere erano confortevoli, il personale era bello. Cosa altro potresti desiderare! Vorrei sicuramente raccomandare questo posto e sperare di visitare di nuovo.
