In the heart of the Medina, a close walk to all major attractions and the Rabat Ville train station. The hosts were lovely and extremely accommodating. I would definitely return if I find myself back in Rabat.

We were very happy with this small Riad. Just as you anticipate & better with staff ‘fussing’ over us & great breakfast too.

Questa vacanza è stata stupenda e se lo è stata è anche merito di questo posto, che mi resterà sempre nel cuore. La signora del Riad è veramente un amore: la vedrete sempre pronta ad aiutarvi e si assicurerà che voi stiate bene, un po' come fa una mamma. Ci ha accolto con un bel thè alla menta e con il sorriso. La colazione tipica marocchina è inclusa nel soggiorno, è molto buona ed anche molto abbondante e la cosa che mi ha stupito particolarmente è che viene preparata per persona, non c'è semplicemente un buffet da cui tutti possono attingere. Questa è una cura in più nei confronti dell'ospite perché vuol dire che il tutto viene cucinato al momento con amore. Quanto alla camera, è abbastanza spaziosa e la doccia comoda. Il riad è il tipico riad marocchino, niente di più, niente di meno, l'ingresso vi stupirà. L'unico problema è che non si può avere molta privacy perché, pur stando al secondo piano, sentivamo spesso gli ospiti al piano terra chiacchierare e se questo avviene per ore diventa pesante. È come stare su un grande soppalco, ciò vuol dire che se apri le finestre, tutti ti vedono, ma questo avviene nella maggior parte dei Riad, non è una novità. Altra pecca nessuna finestra per arieggiare il bagno.

Il riad è nel pieno centro della Medina e quindi perfetto per qualunque tipo di spostamento, sia che si voglia andare al suk, sia che si voglia andare sul lungomare per vedere alcuni monumenti e il cimitero molto suggestivo con vista mare , sia che si voglia andare in stazione per raggiungere qualche altra località. L'impatto del riad all'inizio non è stato dei migliori. Ci avevano assegnato una camera a pianoterra piccolina e molto spartana con un copriletto tipo pecora che ci ha lasciato un po' perplesse. Viste le nostre facce attonite siamo state spostate al primo piano in una camera un po' più grande e meglio arredata. Diciamo che una rinfrescatina alle camere andrebbe fatta ... in questo modo il riad sarebbe perfetto....Consiglio la soluzione del primo piano anche perchè , per la struttura del riad le camere a piano terra sono in concomitanza con il patio per la colazione e per forza con il passaggio di tutti gli ospiti che rientrano e quindi sicuramente meno silenziose e riservate di quelle del primo piano. A parte questo iniziale impatto poi è andato tutto bene. Il letto comodo, la doccia abbastanza confortevole , l'ospitalità fantastica. Duina che ti accoglie (anche se in pigiama e pantofole ma abbiamo scoperto essere un'usanza del luogo- qui la gente locale gira in pigiama e pantofole come se nulla fosse ) è deliziosa. Disponibile a qualunque tua richiesta. La colazione la mattina (che inizia alle 8 e 30 e finisce alle 12) è preparata sul momento.. ci sono le loro fritelle di semola e di farina, fagottini, torte, biscotti marmellate miele, yogurt, te, caffe, succo d'arancia e latte se lo richiedi.. anche i formaggini. Il sabato che siamo andati a Fes e avevamo il treno alle 8 e 30 , su richiesta ci ha preparato la colazione alle 7 e 15. Rabat è pulita e molto sicura. L'abbiamo girata un po' a piedi un po' con il velotaxi che suggerisco caldamente.. tipo tuk tuk thailandese abbiamo fatto un giro di due ore al costo di 20 euro (200 dirham). L'autista ci ha fatto anche un po' da guida scendendo con noi e mostrandoci i monumenti. Sicuramente il problema a Rabat è la lingua.. parlano poco francese e quasi nulla inglese, bisogna quindi un po' arrangiarsi... Per mangiare siamo andati al bar de la liberation sulla via principale vicino al riad.. buona cucina marocchina a prezzi ridicoli... la cena costa circa 5 euro con acqua e mancia... ovviamente il locale è.....definiamolo essenziale ...con tovagliette di plastica molto scolorite ma va bene... Una sera siamo andate consigliato da Dunia del Riad, che ci ha anche accompagnato, in un ristorante piu' lussuoso Dar Rbatia... molto piu' costoso ovviamente...... una sera vale la pena provarlo... l'inconveniente è che devi prendere il menu fisso che costa 27 euro circa ... diciamo che in due ne abbiamo preso uno solo dato che le loro porzioni sono abbastanza abbondanti.. Una particolarità di Rabat ma penso del marocco in genere è che nei bar ci sono solo uomini e molti ti servono solo caffè,

ottimo riad in posizione centralissima nella médina e dotato di camere che affacciano sul chiostro interno e terrazza. Lo staff è gentilissimo e molto disponibile, la colazione oltre ad essere buona ed abbondante cambia leggermente ogni giorno. Wifi gratuito e servizio taxi (20 euro). Te’ a volontà preparato per voi per i vostri momenti di relax. Io mi sono sentito a casa e v e lo consiglio per il rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Negma is an amazing host and the riad is both in an amazing location and its clean. We were so happy about everything in our stay. The breakfast was also amazing and everyone was so nice to us. Rabat is such a beautiful city and summer vibes. Thanks for everything!

Our stay was really good, the location is great, bed was comfy and breakfast was amazing. Really recommended. We were staying in the ground floor room and it gets a little noisy, especially in the morning during breakfast time, the bathroom has a funny smell but if you’re not too picky overall is a good experience.

Not a place to stay, the smell was very unpleasant. Not sure the bedding was clean and the pillows particularly smelt. Staff not helpful limited English spoken. High city tax!!!! No toiletries provided, shower door didn’t open or close properly. Damp noted in other rooms.

I am studying abroad in Morocco and always stay here when I visit Rabat!! Nedjma is an absolutely marvelous host and really goes the extra mile to make her guests feel at home. If you are looking for an authentic riad experience, this is the place for you! Perfect location, professional staff, and delicious breakfast!!!

Very easy to find just inside the Medina. The highlight of this riad is the house manager and her staff. They could not do enough to explain everything, from the local area, restaurants and transport. Exceptional and made our stay very pleasant. The riad is very pleasant with all the rooms facing into the courtyard (no outside windows), so you need to leave the door and shutters open for air circulation. There is a/c for use during the night. The rooms are a good size and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was adequate. WiFi in the room was not great and kept cutting out, so you had to use the public areas for a signal. It's position is perfect with easy acces to theMedina, Kasbah and the tram system just outside the walls. You can have your laundry washed for a small charge. When leaving they even walked us to get a local taxi to the train station. Once again many thanks to the house manager and her team. Although very traditional and rustic, there are areas that need improvement and renovation such as the bathroom. The roof terrace was not very appealing...

A very convenient Riad in Rabat downtown. Staff were very friendly and polite. The rooms are very clean, spacious and with comfy beds! The breakfast was very tasty!! A nice place to stay with family for a short stay at a very affordable price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice location - in the Medina . We only stayed here for one night. Friendly welcome. The Riad is nicely decorated , with the traditional inner patio and small fountain . It has a nice rooftop area where we took our breakfast. The rooms are close to each other : you have to keep windows/doors almost closed so other noisy guests won't disturb you . But this is typical to most riads . Our room (located on the second floor), must have been painted just before our check-in : Dust and paint remains stained the floor mainly in the washroom . Better maintenance/cleaning would have upgrade our review to Very Good .

We had a wonderful stay in Rabat at the Riad Dar Saidi. From the delicious breakfast, to being helpful every step of the way during our stay, Nejma and Yassine were incredible hosts - and part of the reason why I wish to return to Rabat. I miss their mint tea already. You will find here everything you need, a great retreat and central option close to the sea.
