Amazingly courteous and responsive staff. The restaurant was superb at both presentation and gastronomic satisfaction. The wait staff never missed an opportunity to replenish items with a courteous smile and explanations of the selected dishes' preparation and intended consumption to maximize the chef's intent for blissful enjoyment.

A wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. We were lucky to have a room facing out onto the attractive interior patio. The room and ensuite bathroom were beautifully finished with a luxurious feel to them. Still and fizzy water was available but there was no milk or creamer for the coffee and no black tea. I'm sure that this would have been made available if we had asked as we felt that nothing was too much trouble. The meals here were superb and we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner, thoroughly enjoying all of them. We were so sad that we couldn't enjoy breakfast on the second day due to an early departure. They did provide a packed breakfast but this did not meet the high standards we had come to expect. There was one sandwich on dry white bread and we had not been given any choice of bread. We would love to stay there again.

Beautiful hotel! The views of the plaza are amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast every day was top notch. We spent 3 nights in the hotel and wished we had more time. Definitely recommended for families looking to see the beauty of Quito.

It is a stunningly pretty hotel with great service and very well equipped and comfortable rooms. We stayed on a few occasions and each time we were well taken care of. It is centrally located next to a lot of tourist attractions. The breakfast service was also fantastic!! Oh and the roof top bar is spectacular

This was a lovely, historic hotel in the Old Town area of Quito. We just spent one night (arriving around 6pm and leaving the following morning), so our exposure was pretty limited. The service was quite nice, staff attentive and everything you could want regarding drinks, dinner, or breakfast at the hotel. We had a king room and it was very comfortable. Don't miss the rooftop bar area to watch the sunset over San Francisco Square! The hotel is walkable to the town center. It is definitely advisable to be safe while in the downtown area - while we felt safe, many of the downtown buildings are blocked and there is a fairly heavy military presence. Check curfew and other limitations while you are there.

As a first-time visitor to Ecuador, I couldn't have been happier with my stay at Casa Gangotena. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience. Their attention to detail was remarkable—I felt like my room was tidied up every time I stepped out, which made my stay feel truly luxurious. I highly recommend Casa Gangotena to anyone looking for the perfect home away from home. It made my trip unforgettable!

The staff were wonderful, very attentive to our needs. The food was excellent. Always lots of bottled water available. The atmosphere a real highlight - a lovely old building carefully restored to real glory. And the roses such a delight. Excellent location in the centre of the city.

This is honestly the nicest hotel I have ever been to in my life. The building is gorgeous, the rooms are sumptuous, The beds are so comfortable and the staff are all so friendly and attentive. I wish my family were able to stay for more than one night but alas this was a quick stop over in Quito on our way to the Galápagos Islands.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the Old City of Quito. Large rooms and extremely clean. Enormous bathrooms and gorgeous grounds. Our room was a Garden View suite that looked out to a lovely garden area. The staff is Marvelous. Be sure to go to the roof restaurant for Tapas and cocktails!
