One of the better options close to Zona Romantica. People are super friendly. Breakfast is really great.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Three nights over the weekend and it was peaceful. Comfy bed and great breakfast. Staff was very helpful with all my needs. Clean room, shower had great water pressure. Close to the Malecon with night market and beautiful cathedral down the street. The church bells were quite charming. View from rooftop allowed me to see cool fireworks! I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was really well appointed and clean. The staff were amazing. The free breakfast every morning was on point. Do you go at your ask for quickly and it was fresh and delicious with a lot of options. The location is great because it's very close to everything you want to do in Port of Vallarta.
Overall I would recommend this place any day. coming back next year.

Great location! So close to beach, shopping, restaurants, bars, and right by the Rio Cuale. Comfortable clean king bed, lots of natural light, fridge in room and helpful staff

I would definitely stay here again. The staff was great, breakfast is very good, bed very comfortable and the location can’t be beat. My only small quibble is that it was advertised as a suite, but there was not really a separate seating area. More like a bit larger than usual hotel room. Also, my perennial pet peeve with hotels: don’t restrict us to one packet of coffee per day like you’re going to go broke if we ask for more! I will just keep putting this in every hotel review until someone takes notice. But I did really like this place.

Hotel Porto Allegro is a fantastic property, ideally situated in Centro, very close to the malecon and Romantic Zone and all of the restaurants and bars within the area. Even with this proximity, it was very tranquil in the evening, much more than I expected. The property is kept immaculately clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is simple but satisfactory. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and would absolutely stay here again on a future visit.
