Nearing the end of our 20 day trek from Spain and south to Morocco we spent a night in Kasbah Flilou. It was a delight!! NEW HOTEL open for a week! Small and quaint with a focus on service!! We were greeted with tea and cookies. The almond cookies are magical!! Light music in background was perfect. We were shown our rooms and they had all the boutique quantness needed for a wonderful memory. The dinner served that night was a ”chef surprise” and was flavorful and portions were large. The wine was decent. A fellow traveller had a birthday and we joined the celebration with a birthday cake and a song! The entire staff joined. Great moment. We had to leave early and the manager/chef made a grand attempt at ”to go” breakfast. It was very nice. We extremely appreciated the effort!! My only issues with the hotel and I am sure they are working on it is....finding it...the road and parking is challenging but not impossible. Get good directions. The bed was very firm. Could be a plus or not...But everything else in room was very above average and lovely. Lots of help with luggage and a sincere desire to make your stay the BEST!! Now if I could only get the recipe for the Almond cookies!!!

The location at the entrance of the gorge is ideal. We were greeted warmly each time we entered the building, and the beds were firm and comfortable. HOWEVER, the lack of cleanliness of this guesthouse left us disappointed. The soap dish and toothbrush holder had not been cleaned. The bath mat was soaked from the last guests, and tables in the dining room all had crumbs and food on them. (We had to wipe them ourselves each time we sat down.) We chose this guesthouse because the average ratings were high, and maybe it’s better than some places in town, but in comparison to all the other places we have stayed in Morocco (and we’ve been here over 2 weeks), this was not up to the standards we have come to expect from Moroccan guesthouses. They first put us in the wrong room (we were 2 and they put us in a room for 4. I even asked if he was sure this was our room. This caused a delay to the family waiting for us to move.) Even in the first room I noticed the soap dish was dirty. Thread bare is acceptable, dirty is not. Tolerable for one night.

Definirlo un Riad non è corretto, ma è sicuramente un’esperienza. Da fare. L’esperienza inizia da trovarlo; il cartello di indicazione è ben presente sulla strada principale ma vi manda su un terreno acciottolato che sembra il letto di un fiume. Non vi fate scoraggiare. Con l’auto potete proseguire fino al vero letto del fiume. Da lì si prosegue a piedi e, scavalcando il fiume su una trave di legno, si entra nel villaggio berbero. Le indicazioni continuano nei piccoli e tortuosi vicoli fino all’ingresso. Noi abbiamo trovato numerosi ragazzini che per qualche spicciolo vi accompagneranno. Qui trovate il vostro faro, la vostra guida: il proprietario! Siccome non ci fidavamo del terreno acciottolato noi ci siamo fatti accompagnare da uno dei tanti ragazzini e il proprietario quindi è tornato indietro con noi fino alla macchina, ci ha condotti fino al fiume e ci ha portato le valigie fino in camera! Lì ci ha offerto il te in terrazza e ci ha dato la cena. Il proprietario è molto cordiale, disponibile e pronto a soddisfare tutti i tuoi bisogni. La cena è la classica cena marocchina (buona peraltro) che potete trovare in tutto il Marocco. Qui ho provato le migliori patate fritte del mondo, incredibile! La camera: ampia (con due letti), silenziosa (siete nelle gole) e pulita. Noi avevamo anche il bagno in camera (con acqua calda). L’esperienza non è finita qui; la mattina seguente, siccome non è facilissimo il trekking nelle gole, lui ci ha accompagnato dall’inizio alla fine del trekking per più di 3 ore. Senza di lui il trekking è piuttosto impegnativo perché non segnalato e faticoso. Naturalmente dopo 3 ore e più di trekking ci ha riaccompagnato alla macchina portando le valigie. Angelo! Buona anche la colazione e bella la terrazza all’ultimo piano per delle foto panoramiche. Qualità/prezzo: altissima. Posto consigliatissimo.

Останавливались на одну ночь по пути из Мерзуги в Марракеш, чтобы посмотреть ущелье Дадес (это того стоило). На сайте неверно указаны координаты, поэтому пришлось искать. Точные координаты 31,2786626, -6,0555566. Очень гостеприимный хозяин, несмотря на то, что мы разговаривали только на английском языке, а он на французском и немецком, очень старался выстроить контакт и сделать наше пребывание комфортным. Предлагал мобильный кондиционер, но было комфортно и без него за счёт толстых стен. Более крупный населённый пункт с магазинами и рынком в 8 километрах, на машине не проблема. Замечательный завтрак!
