Sweet Memories Hotel Apts

We travel 2/3times a year we have never come across such an unfriendly hotel ever .the room allocated was unlivable dirty water,dirty toilet, filthy bed ,dangerous hob no towels, no toilet paper no utensils the whole place wants closing down with the exception of the part we moved out and will take it further you pay good money and lose holiday time and is total health risk

Unfortunately this was the worst experience we have had when arriving at a hotel. We arrived very late at night and the night Porter gave us a room key and grunted instructions to where our room was. We asked about the lift and he said no lift. An English lady who was already staying at the hotel, kindly showed us where to go, only to find that we had to climb a flight of steps with our luggage. When we got into the apar**ent it was very basic but that wasnt a problem. There was no kettle, no toaster, and a very dangerously faulty gas cooker ring. We complained to the night Porter who just shrugged his shoulders. We didn’t unpack, but slept for the night. The next day we told the staff. Eventually we were offered a key to another room and told to go look at it. We located the room ourselves via the lift. The room was clean and smelled new. It was like a different hotel. Unfortunately this was a studio so we had no bedroom and no balcony. However we said we would try it. During the course of our first week there were numerous guests who complained about their rooms and missing equipment. We felt that we were being ignored by staff and only had clean towels once. We asked to be moved to another hotel for our second week. The only sweet memory we have is Tina, the lovely bar staff on an evening.

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 day holiday here. I am not one to usually write reviews, but felt it was important given what a little gem this place is. We arrived in the early hours of the morning with a 1 and 3 year old- we were shown straight to our apar**ent and also able to purchase a 6 pack of water from reception for €3. Our apar**ent was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, including helping to entertain our little ones. It is a lovely, welcoming family hotel. There is nothing commercial about it, which suited us perfectly. Breakfast was delicious- freshly cooked to order each morning. The pool area was clean and there were always plenty of sun beds. It is only a 10 minute walk to the beach and main *****.

I can't understand the negative reviews given to this mid range family run Hotel Apts. Sad people posting negative comments obviously angry people at home. We stayed in Superior Room which met the criteria for that classification. Friendly staffing and very clean. My Recommendation do not believe n those banal sad people . I'm coming back next Oct

Mixed reviews about this place. We arrived late at night and was met by an unhelpful member of staff who gave us our room keys which we had to go to in the dark. Rooms were tired and basic. Part of the complex has been refurbished and rooms look fab but unfortunately, we were in old part. My friends apar**ent was filthy and had lots of ants. I had a lovely pool and sea view. Location is very central for everything but if I was to return to these apar**ents, I would definitely request a refurbished room.

Writing this review from the balcony of our superior apar**ent. I had been a bit apprehensive before getting here as there have been some very negative reviews recently. I needn't have worried, we arrived very late and the man on the desk was polite and checked us in very efficiently. The apar**ent itself is very spacious, clean and in good repair. An added bonus is our balcony looks over the pool and has sea views. The pool is very clean if a bit cold when first getting in but a good way to cool down after exploring the area! Location is excellent with some good restaurants close by and the ***** less than 10 minutes walk away. I have no complaints, we are really enjoying our holiday and would recommend Sweet Memories.

Arrived at 11.15pm last night .The night porter was asleep on the sofa in the lobby. When we woke him up he gave us our key to our room (432) all I wanted was a clean room and a clean bed . When I open the door after having to climb 3 flights of stairs with our suitcases i was in disbelief . The door was rotten and had been previously kicked in and was held together with screws. The kitchen units were rotting and falling apart The room smelt of damp and to top the lot it was overrun with cock roaches. We asked to be moved but the porter told us the management was not available. We have spent the night in our car as we refused to sleep in that room I am writing this in the lobby still waiting to speak to the manager it is now 8am . Now that it is morning I can now see the state of the swimming pool it is filthy and I will not be putting my feet let alone swimming in it

Just came back from this hellhole. When we arrived we were met by a guy in a white vest who didn’t speak much English… he was very rude, no welcome or nothing. Pointed to your room then he was gone. It said private balcony… we were right in front of the kids pool ground floor, we couldn’t open our curtains as family and kids were at the pool.. this was for 2 wks! The only time we spent in the balcony was at night. Food! It’s says it’s a la carte menu.. see photos…. Dirty towels were left outside the rooms after the cleaners had been in… they lay there all day. The pool was cleaned maybe twice the 2 wks we were there. Our shower flooded into the kitchen area. This was the worst experience we’ve had in the 12 years coming to Cyprus… never ever will we stay here again.

Terrible hotel and in less than 24 hours of being there,our room was “infested” with ants AND lots of them.We told reception but all they said was “we’re full” and weren’t going to move us to another room but we insisted.Was then sprayed with ant repellent- I mean …really? We were in the highest room and was relocated to another high room ,which was slightly better. We were only there 7 days ,but realistically 7 hours would have been enough. Pool not cleaned daily Room cleaned every other day along with fresh linen. In a convenient location and 5 -10 mins from the main *****. An expensive holiday all in all.
