Lovely guest house in a quiet, safe area but within walking distance of some great cafe and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was very clean and spacious. The swimming pool and gardens were immaculate and the food was lovely. The staff could not do enough for us including giving us another room for a late check out (all entirely free). I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Came to relax here after Rovos train trip. It was very nosy. Could not sleep. Very few hotel guests as they have only 7 rooms but unfortunately this hotel arranges Big parties for guests from outside. Therefore there was a Big party at lunchtime and yet an even bigger party at evening where celebrations find place. Terrible . When we asked if they could do someting they showed us a cheaper room downstairs, looked like a basement. Also here was noisy right up to a shared sofaroom and parking. Worse was they wanted us to pay same Price as the other room even though it was cheaper categori. Please Be careful if you book this hotel and need a good nights sleep. You Will not get it.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with all the comforts. But even more striking is the friendly staff that go out of their way to ensure you are enjoying your stay. My husband had been hospitalized locally, and this required me to shuttle back and forth daily. The hotel organized a car/driver each day. In addition the food is excellent. Overall my stay at Castello di Monte was one of the best experiences I have had during my trip to South Africa. Highly recommended!

Castello is the best , we had the best service from their staff they were very professional, going an extra mile and their food was delicious We were 15 and all of us were blown away by the service. Looking forward to visiting Castello Di Monte again

A very tranquil and beautiful place. The service was personal and warm. The rooms are excellent. Do your self a favor- have dinner at the hotel!!! The food is homemade and fresh. The neighborhood is nice. A good place to stay for relaxation and to start your tours from.

This boutique hotel is a gem. It is an older large home in a residential area. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed with magnificent views of Pretoria. The staff were outstanding and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were superb.

Just love this hotel, stunning location, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, great food and amazing friendly staff. Whilst there is no bar or lounge area, we enjoyed cocktails on the terrace overlooking the pretty gardens and beyond to Pretoria .

Lovely quaint hotel. The staff were keen to help in any way they could.one of the local drivers gave us a car tour of Pretoria as we were only in the city for a day, and the weather was appalling (rain, not cold!). We had beers on the terrace, overlooking the main inured lawn. The room was lovely, the bedroom had an adjacent dressing room and bathroom, all week sized and well equipped. The hotel is an old stay;e, but we liked it and it’s ambience

A bit like staying at Fawlty Towers. It was mainly the restaurant staff - food was painfully slow & drink service even slower. We waited 40 mins for a cocktail! We were only staying one night fortunately. Breakfast was just as slow & one table didn’t even get any before their ride arrived to collect them!on the plus side Rooms were spacious, clean & bed was comfy but it just lacked a personal touch. Most people staying here were then moving onto Rovos Rail so I wonder if there was maybe a deal with the hotel & a travel company so they just didn’t need to try
