A Plus Hostel - Centrum

If you are a tight-budget traveller, this place is one of the top place you can take a look at, since it is in the middle of the new town. The place is similar to a college dorm with public bathrooms and toilet(s) on every floor. Since it’s like a dorm with a really thin wall, I can say young people would tend to stay in a big group and there arent soundproof. You can hear everyone talking from the hall and the sound of the old style elevator. If you are a light sleeper, you should consider another place because you will be exhausted to keep telling others put their volume down every time.

Location is great, but a big confusing to get to. The large sign outside of the building doesn’t actually say the hostel name (A plus). It says something else. The woman that checked me in and out was friendly and welcoming. I stayed in a “private” room but the toilets and showers were still shared, which was one of the purposes of me getting a private room…. This wasn’t made clear before booking. The floors were not cleaned, and my room was not cleaned in the second day (I stayed two nights). The toilets and showers were ok, but should be cleaned. When I was there, they weren’t “dirty”, but didn’t look like they’d been cleaned in quite a while. The common area was just a bunch of tables and chairs and there wasn’t much socializing going on. When I walked in, there’s was one guy who was taking a nap. That was it. There is a cool old-school elevator that works from the first floor, which is fun. Not sure why my room was as expensive as it was considering I could have stayed in an actual hotel for relatively the same price. Overall this wasn’t a bad place to stay, but definitely not worth the price.

I liked it all except I was charged E 62.5 on my final bill for breakfast I had paid cash for every day.

Reasonably good location for people arriving by train, midway between the station and Prague central square, just of Wensaslas Square. Free coffee drinks are a nice touch.

The hostel is conveniently located and has very friendly staff. I booked a bed in a 5 bed dorm in order to avoid bunk beds and was happy with my choice, the bed was comfortable with a good pillow. The floor I was on was well served with showers although a few hooks would be a useful addition.

It was a very uncomfortable environment at the A Plus Hostel. Most of the other guest gave us an uneasy feeling and didn't make us feel welcome or safe - for some reason the hostel was full of weirdos. The kitchen was very small and you had to ask for equipment at the reception, we don't know why. Bathroom was okay but the ceiling is full of mold. The commonroom was no place to meet friendly people. There was coffee for free but most of the time no cups. We left 2 days earlier than planned even though we had to pay for all 4 nights. We were just happy to get out of this place. Two of the staff members were very nice and friendly, which is the only positive thing I can say, unfortunately.

Very good location

nous avons payé pour une chambre double, une fois arrivée , des punaises partout dans les draps et le lit, des cheveux , sol sale et lit abimé. on a demandé au service de faire le nettoyage ou de nous rembourser, le vieux qui gérait la réception , nous a agresser verbalement et refusait de faire aucun effort mem changer les draps. on était pas les seules à réclamer cette nuit pleines de filles qui ont exprimé leur insatisfaction et le comportement agressif du responsable. on étaient obligées de changer l'hôtel sans remboursement . bref a fuir et c'est hyper sallllllllle
