This hotel is just as beautiful as the pictures. Besides having incredible views from the pool and restaurant, they also really paid attention to all of the details. The rooms are gorgeous and really thoughtfully decorated, there are two large pools, the lounge areas near the pools are really comfortable, and breakfast each morning was fantastic. It's also super centrally located--we we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. More than anything, the staff at this hotel were so welcoming and friendly--Paolo especially made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.

We stayed in the Wine and Books Hotel for Seven nights .The Hotel should be rated 7* .We have travelled worldwide and this is by far the best Hotel we have stayed in .The staff are very special , working as an excellent team to make us feel at home. Special thanks to Camilla and Soraia on the front desk and to the food and beverage manager and all the restaurant and housekeeping staff for excellent Service which went above and beyond what we expected...Nothing is too much trouble for this excellent team. The room was quiet and comfortable and the food and breakfast is the best we ate in Porto. We truly felt we were leaving good friends by the time we left .Thank you all for a truly great stay. I can say without hesitation my wife and I stayed here for three nights and neither had a complaint. The lobby is classy and beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Water and chocolate were provided daily. The buffet breakfast was very good and the coffee was great. The pool area was small but quaint and comfortable and the location for a few days in Porto was good as well. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night. The service was also accommodating and the food very good. Recommend this place.

Stai 4 notti al arrivo a Porto. Per un hotel a 3 stelle la proprietà è molto pulita e tranquilla. Check-in è stato facile. Le camere sono pulite e offrono un armadio con cassaforte, un caldo e un servizio tè/caffee, un piccolo frigo che è memorizzato ma è ancora spazio per mettere una birra, una bottiglia di vino o un bidet. Diverse uscite, ma nessun porto USB. Il bagno ha un bidet. La doccia aveva una buona pressione idrica. E' in realtà una combinazione tubo/doccia. L'unica cosa mancante era lavaggio. Non ne ho trovato uno in nessuno dei miei hotel portoghesi. Il colazione è eccellente, inizia a 7. Varie opzioni, dalle uova ai pancake, piatti laterali, così tanti pane fresco, cereali, favoloso caffè, succo fresco. La porta successiva è una 3a boutique con un servizio completo di grandezza americana magazzino per comprare acqua, snack, vino ecc a prezzi molto economici. Un isolato è il Mercado Bom Success, un ristorante alimentare di scala. Ci siamo mangiati lì due volte. L'hotel si trova in una zona chiamata Villa Nova, a 30-40 minuti a piedi dal centro storico. La metropolitana è a 10-15 minuti, la fermata Casa de Musical, che vi porterà al centro storico in 15 minuti. Rimarrei qui se mai a Porto.

Vieni a Porto e prenota il tuo alloggio qui! La posizione non è male e le strutture sono così pulite! L'uomo che era così bello quando si arrivò è anche buono. Vino lo stesso? Era così delizioso!! Non andai con un segno di pulizia della stanza, quindi ho appena avuto un asciugamano e ho cercato di tornare, ma ha pulito la stanza mentre usciamo e mangiamo! E mi hai portato un asciugamano di nuovo. ... Mi dispiace ㅠㅠ Ma grazie mille per la tua gentilezza! Il secondo viaggio a Porto è anche molto felice di vivere buone memorie e buoni dormitori!! Molto raccomandato!! Altre applicazioni sono un po' costose, ma il sconto del viaggio è un po', quindi ho 150000 vinto per due giorni!!

Comincio col dire che l'hotel è molto grande, spaziose camere,colazione ottima c'è molto salato e anche dolci Tutto buono. Nel bagno scarsi prodotti. Solo grandi flaconi con dosatore. Mancava un blocco con penna, mancavano le ciabattine da bagno, anche il frigo bar scarso di bevande. Un po' povero in questo senso. Poi il personale non parlava una sola parola di italiano. E poi dulcis in fundo: decisamente lontano dal centro, dal Douso, dalla Ribeira, dell'oceano. Abbiamo sempre preso taxi per spostarci. Anche 4 volte al giorno.Insomma scomodo davvero!

Typical of the Portuguese Hotels we have had on our Bunnik tour on the Portuguese leg. Stairs and no ramp to get suitcases into the hotel and a bit if a shortage of staff to help. No tea and coffee or free water in the room only one free plug on one side of a double bed. Our bathroom toiletries was a shower cap but there were squeeze bottles of shower gel,shampoo and bath gel attached to the shower. Only one glass in the room although we were in a room for couples; there were 2 small ones in the bathroom. The tiny glasses allowed you to have some water to brush your teeth so you don't bang your head on the overhead cupboard mirror which is totally unnecessary since it doesn't hold anything. The basin was so shallow that you dare not leave it running long. There was a bidet if you need one, otherwise it just takes up valuable bathroom realestate. One of the few hotels without a pool and reliable WiFi in our room. No news in English. but old movies overdubbed in Portuguese. I was told that they were working on upgrading their WiFi. On the plus side, the room was clean, breakfast was plentiful with a good range of food. Thr staff as helpful as as was possible. The area is good for access to art galleries and eateries.

Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo scelto come destinazione Porto per trascorrere 4 giorni di relax e alla scoperta di un posto nuovo e desicamente soleggiato, cosi abbiamo optato per un alloggio con valutazioni molto alte per ogni servizio offerto e... non posso far altro che confermare quanto si legge su Tripadvisor. La reception (particolare cenno a Rosana, nostro punto di riferimento, sempre gentile,sorridente e molto amichevole) Leandro, Nuno e Paolo, sempre molto accoglienti e con il sorriso, oltre ad averci accolto nel migliore dei modi, ci hanno offerto un upgrade di una camera con balcone (in pieno sole) molto spaziosa, pulitissima (complimenti alla cameriera ai piani), con tutto il necessario per qualunque esigenza. Colazione ottima, c'è quel che basta per avere un inizio di giornata al top senza strafare come molti altri posti che hanno buffet infiniti ma con conseguenti sprechi... Vicinissimi al centro, che non guasta affatto. La responsabile della colazione, anche lei, sempre sorridente e a disposizione. Il barman, gentilissimo e molto professionale, ci ha offerto un assaggio di 3 vini tipici ddl posto dal gusto molto particolare. Sinceramente non so cosa posso dire se non ”andate li!” se volete avere una sistemazione al top per camera, colazione, posizione e cortesia dello staff. Un saluto e, se dovessi tornare, le idee sono chiare.

Comfortable rooms and location easy enough to get into all parts of the city using Uber, which are very reasonable and cost around 3 euros to the furthest point at the river. You could walk but my father has some mobility issues and the uber was much faster, allowing us to expore poroto without tiring from the walk into town. The hotel is kept well, is cosy and inviting once inside, dont be put off by the exterior. Rooms were very well designed for the price bracket. Attention to detail of items in the bathroom need to be addressed though. Soap dish was loose on the wall as was the faucet on the bathroom sink. Small details that bring an otherwise very nice room below its potential. Although a little firm for me, I still slept very well on the bed. No external noise heard and quiet and effective air conditioning. The safe was an issue for me. We had 2 rooms and the safe was not bolted into the wardrobe, you could remove the safe if you wanted to. This makes the safe redundant and concerned me. The front desk also do not have their own safe for guest valuables. However we had no issued and our belongings remained untouched. The hotels did lock our belongings into a storage room on our last day. I would definitely stay here again and I think this hotel offers both an element of luxury whilst remaining a mid priced option. The staff were also very helpful and attentive.
