Aparthotel Oporto Sol

I recently spent four nights at Aparthotel Oporto Sol, and while my stay was overall okay, it came with a few drawbacks. First, the location is a bit outside the main area of Porto, which required some extra effort to get into the heart of the city. While the surroundings were quiet and less crowded, I did find myself relying on public transport or taxis more than I would have liked. One of the main issues was the absence of air conditioning in the bedroom. During my stay, the temperatures were warm, and it made things uncomfortable at night. Opening the windows was not an option due to the presence of mosquitoes outside, which meant I struggled to find a comfortable sleeping temperature. On the positive side, the apartment itself was spacious and generally clean. The amenities were adequate for my needs, and the staff was friendly and helpful, albeit a few blocks over. I appreciated the kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare some of my own meals during my stay. In summary, while my stay at Aparthotel Oporto Sol had its merits, the lack of air conditioning and its location outside the main area impacted my overall experience. If you're sensitive to heat or prefer to be in the city center, you may want to consider other options. Otherwise, it serves as a decent accommodation for those seeking a quieter spot.

This aparthotel is in a great location, and self checkin/checkout was easy. However, we stayed on the top floor, and during a thunderstorm in the middle of the night rain started leaking from the roof in multiple places. When we realized it was going to rain again the following night we checked out early and stayed at another hotel instead. The woman at the front desk said she would talk to Administration and get us a refund for that night. However since the room was not CURRENTLY leaking at that time, administration did not back her up and refused the refund after we left. Looking at the walls and ceiling it was clear the leaks had happened before and had not been repaired. Due to this and our experience we cannot recommend staying at any of the aparthotels managed by this company.

Good pied a terre We were delayed getting to the hotel and could not reach the company to arrange late check in. Had to call the emergency number to get the codes to get into our room. Once in, it was a good place for the night.

Location is great and quiet. Also very clean

Excellent location. Located between the busy streets of Porto and the iconic bridge. We had a great time staying at this property.
