Not sure i can actually say enough wonderful things about this gorgeous hotel. The room was absolutely stunning, so beautiful and immaculately clean. Location was perfect, a short walk to everything we wanted to see. And we had all the information we needed from the lovely lady at reception. Genuinely so friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Nice small boutique hotel. We had room 4.1, which has a nice balcony. My only complaint is we had a problem with the soaking tub drain and they were very slow to fix it. The rooms are extremely quiet which was nice. It is a bit of a walk to the river but a fast Uber ride.

This is a small hotel which gives any traveller a quiet and calm atmosphere a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of a popular city destination. The staff were kind and efficient, we did have an issue, which was just one of those things, and it was sorted without any problem and as quickly and effectively as they could. The location is a sort distance from most of the sites, however, I will say it is a city that will give you some quite steep ups so be prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it was relaxing and stress free, the rooms are larger than most and designed so that there is little chance of one being aware of others around them. It was an oasis in our busy 5 nights in Porto and if this is what you want, without a lot of the fuss of bigger hotels, then this is a great choice for you. Thanks to all the staff for helping to make our stay in Porto memorable.

My fiance and I stayed here for our last few nights in Porto and we wish we had been here the entire time. We had originally booked an airbnb on the river that was dirty and loud and booked at Prim&Proper at 11pm our first night in a panic because we were so miserable. When we got to Prim&Proper, we were so relieved. Quiet, clean, and easily walkable to the main tourist stuff without being in the madness, the real thing that stands out about Prim&Proper are the staff. Marta, Lionel, Susie, Darlene and everyone else were so welcoming and so, so incredibly kind and helpful. We told Marta we were visiting and the next day she had printed off suggestions and gave us a map of Porto to help guide us on our way. On our last night, my fiance hurt his stomach (he has a recurring ulcer) and Lionel and the staff came to the rescue, first giving me directions to the grocery store, and then letting me borrow the kitchen kettle & a bowl to make plain porridge to help settle his stomach. The next day, Susie let me take his breakfast up to the room so he could sleep in. We are so incredibly grateful to how kind and helpful everyone is. Also, the breakfast & welcome drink wine were EXCELLENT! Probably the best breakfast I've had in a while and definitely the best of our trip. Can't stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The balcony with the garden view is gorgeous and the rooms are modern and spacious. The bathtub was really nice after a long day of walking up and down a million stairs. It was easy to get to everything and the staff really made the experience. Thank you again, from Becca & David! We appreciate you all! If the owner reads this, please give your staff a raise, especially my girl Marta! She earned it!

Our family of six loved this little jewel of a boutique hotel right in the heart of Porto. The staff was welcoming, the breakfast that was included was outstanding and the rooms were beautiful. We would highly recommend.
