Nds Prestige Guest House and Suites - by Rocha Prestige

Though we stayed for a short 1 night, loved the reception and stay. We were quite surpised with the included breakfast despite the relatively low price yet it was neat and filling. It was somewhere near the old town so location was decent and the room condition was faultless. We couldn't have asked for more! Really recommend this place.

We spent ages choosing this Portimao guest house, but our expectations of it were not met. It's an odd concept, offering a room in an unstaffed house, that doesn't offer breakfast but also doesn't offer any catering facilities?? We booked a "Superior Triple room with balcony & city view". What we actually got was a clean, well-decorated double-bed room, sparsely furnished with one chair, no table to sit at. The balcony was a tiny Juliet balcony overlooking a narrow street & the house opposite- not big enough to stand on, let alone sit on, but then, the "city view" was actually a large canvas/photo of old Portimao city,over the bed, not a view of Portimao. Sadly, the advertised roof terrace wasn't offered to us during our stay. That might have saved the day. The house itself is a beautifully restored old Portugese house in a narrow cobbled street, which unfortunately was used as a rat-run by traffic, till the early hours.The house was very clean & well decorated, but without any creature comforts. We'd spent the previous few nights in a comfy hotel in Faro , with a marina view & delicious breakfast, so ND Prestige was a stark contrast. It would be fine for one night, but not for several. The owner met us on arrival, gave us a long run-down of their Covid protocols , then left. We let ourselves out on check-out. (The housekeeper was lovely, we crossed paths briefly a few times, as she let herself in). In short, the accommodation websites (********** in this instance) need to ensure their descriptions of properties meet the reality.

La ubicación, el personal, la limpieza todo perfecto. El gerente muy amable y atento, cuando llegamos nos esperaba y nos enseño la habitación y el funcionamiento de todo. Un hotel muy tranquilo y cerca del centro de la ciudad, del puerto y todos los restaurantes. El servicio de limpieza fantastico, vale la peba alijarse. Gracias al personal pir la atención recibida.
