Best Western Porterville Inn

The bathroom needs to be updated. The tube was in bad condition. Mini refrigerator was dirty. Could have been a little bit cleaner there was popcorn on the floor and sunflower seeds

Our room was not cleaned before we checked in. There was bread crumbs all over the carpet and tv console. The trash bins were filled with trash and food. The bathroom was not cleaned. There were someone else’s earrings by the sink. There was a dirty diaper in the trash bin. The bed had indentations like someone was previously sitting on the bed. There were dead bugs, looked like mosquitoes, by the pillows. I called reception to let them know our room was previously used and not cleaned after, and I wanted a different room. He said all the rooms were checked out for the night. Then I asked if house keeping come and at least tidy up the room and provide us with at least hand soap, new towels and new bed sheets. He said that housekeeping was already gone for the day. It was late, I was exhausted. I tried to book another hotel room around the area but there was no vacancy. He, reception, showed up to our door and took pictures of all the issues with the room, and so did I. He was very apologetic but I was very frustrated because my husband and I all we wanted is to to sleep and not worry about a dirty room that had no fresh towels or hand soap, etc. I wasn’t expecting luxury. I know where I booked the room, but at the very least, I expected a tidy up room with the bare essentials. I paid full price and I want a refund. The “owner” as the the staff said, was out on vacation and wasn’t going to be back until Tuesday. That he would call me back. I haven’t received any calls yet.

The front desk lady could have been a bit friendlier, but the hotel itself was very clean and worth the money I spent.

The beds had paper, lint, and items inside them (between the sheets?) when we arrived. The mattresses in 157 were sinking and not firm....hopefully they are replaced soon...thank you again v for finding and sending the glasses back!

After I checked in the settle all my things in the room I go into the bathroom and it’s a nasty mess. Looks like housekeeping just missed the whole bathroom in general. Used towels all over the floor and trash was still in there. For $180 a night and a $250 deposit I would at LEAST EXPECT for it be cleaned before arrival

clerk did not know what he was doing. Phone message light was on in room he did not know how to turn off. He provided incorrect directions to room. Breakfast was cold. had to go back three times to get keys that worked for the room.. I will not stay at the best western porterville again

It appeared that the main rooms were recently refreshed with some details still being completed. The bathrooms must be part of the next phase. The elevator was out of service when we arrived but the front desk was able to find us a room on the first floor. This location did not appear to be booked to capacity based on the number of cars in the parking lot. The afternoon/night manager appeared to be in training but was very pleasant and accommodating.

Shower would not drain so by the time i was done with shower, i also had a full tub of water. Had to rush shower so it wouldn't overflow. Tub still full the next morning.
