The most beautiful setting, and a gorgeous home with superb views and centrally located. Margaret and Harold were lovely, kind and very hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble. And as friendly and welcoming as all the beautiful people in Islay. Thankyou both xx

We stayed in the self catering apar**ent at The Grange and it was absolutely fantastic. It felt like home. It is walking distance from main street in Port Ellen where you can find shops for food and restaurants. We did the Three Distillery walk with ease to Ardbeg and manage to get a bus back, location was fantastic. Margaret and Harold were fantastic hosts and really made us feel welcome with small touches like flying our home country flag whilst we were staying there - amazing. The self catering unit is very comfortable and well equipped and we were sorry to leave. It is also easy access to the ferry port in Port Ellen - probably 2 minutes away. Thank you Margaret and Harold!

We stayed with Margaret and Harold for 3 nights while we toured around Islay, seeing various sites and doing whisky tours and tastings. From the first night we got in (late, around 9pm), their home was a welcoming and comfortable place to rest. Margaret and Harold were incredible and kind hosts and had great recommendations, along with stories to share. Breakfast every morning was delicious, specific to our needs, and especially considering the whisky tastings to follow, was hearty and kept us going throughout the day. The room was quiet, spacious, had a beautiful view of the harbor, and was so nice to come back to after so much wandering and moving around the island all day. No issues whatsoever, and we were able to make some tea in the room as well, which was a nice wind down for the evenings. Could not recommend staying here more, and would love to return some day in the future.

A lovely couple run this B&B. Clean, spacious rooms, nice bathroom with good shower. Delicious full Scottish breakfast or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, but also yummy fresh fruit with yoghurt. Restaurants and pub just around the corner. Everything you could want. Highly recommended.

We booked a last minute short trip to Islay in the Hebrides. The Grange was available, and it turned out to be a winner. Owners were very friendly and flexible about dropping off our bags ( panniers because we were on cycles). Bed was exceedingly comfortable, absolutely super. Large room, nice and bright. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, plenty of choice. Highly recommended. Note, note sure that the Grange as at August 2022 is bookable by any online site. We did it via the old fashioned way of picking up the phone.

My sister and I stayed there for 3 nights for a Islay whisky trip. Margaret gave us a very friendly welcome. The rooms were large and a very good bed, gigantic bathroom. Next morning we had the full scottish breakfast , which was unforgettable, We didn't need a lunch that day. Next day we had a lighter breakfast and the last day Margaret left us some nice sandwiches in the fridge, because we had to catch the 7 o'clock ferry. Margaret and Harold , thanks for the warm hospitality.
