Hotel in zona Silversonic - Scuba Diving & Snorkelling, Port Douglas

Ambiente tranquillo. L'impianto è pulito ma può essere meglio. Il bagno è un po' vecchio. Ha qualche insetto e volare all'interno della stanza. Il resto è buono.

Dobbiamo essere onesti, le nostre aspettative non erano elevate per il nostro soggiorno in questa proprietà.Con così tante recensioni miste e i laghi attualmente in corso di un programma di rinnovamento in rotolamento. Ma ci siamo fermati per una notte per celebrare il 50° anniversario di un vicino amico, quindi ci siamo chiesti perché non ci facciamo un tentativo. Ovviamente, ora vogliamo che il nostro soggiorno fosse stato molto, molto più lungo. Da quando siamo arrivati al momento in cui abbiamo lasciato ogni membro della squadra ha lasciato il suo modo per assicurarci che abbiamo la migliore esperienza possibile. Amichevole, a terra, professionale e completamente ospite centro. Per quanto riguarda la nostra camera, abbiamo il privilegio di essere aggiornati in una sala di accesso del Re Grande Lagoon, che è stata spaziosa e bellamente designata per dire il meno, ma l'accesso diretto a una piscina privata e grande lagoon è stato semplicemente sublime. Abbiamo anche avuto l'opportunità di godere di un ristorante festivo due volte per colazione, che era perfetto per noi. Ha anche una vista su molte laghi e molti alberi di palma così tranquillo per iniziare ogni giorno. Non parlare dell’enorme spazio atrio che si trova dentro. Prima di andare a cena abbiamo deciso di bere al ristorante Harrison. Con un’atmosfera meravigliosa, un menu del vino e sì una squadra molto esperienziale e professionale. E' stato difficile andare a cena. Con una menzione speciale per l'incredibile Emma. Basta dire che torneremo di nuovo e per una settimana la prossima. Grazie tante - Steve, Tom, Matt, Joe, Caysea, Kathy, Neel, Emma, Luciano, Nachos e Leo. Che squadra meravigliosa di persone delightful.

Excellent position a few miles south of Port Douglas. We had lodge 48 which was a 10-minute walk from the restaurant. Well equipped, comfortable bed, spacious lodge, although one slatted window had the insect grill flapping which would allow insects in if left open. We understand that there is an ongoing refurbishment programme. Very quiet apart from the birds. Great to see birds feeding when having breakfast at the restaurant. We also saw a flying fox feeding one evening right outside the restaurant veranda. The site is hilly so we made use of the buggy transport from the car park and in the evenings. The food in the restaurant is good but there is a restricted menu with fixed choices at breakfast. For example, to have a bowl of cereal before eggs would have cost extra. Evening meals were fine but you will need to eat in Port Douglas if staying for more than a few nights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We went on one of the free nature walks led by Brett and would highly recommend this. He pointed out much wildlife that we would not have seen. A very enjoyable 5 night stay.

We had a very nice stay at the Oaks, only 4 mins drive to Port Douglas CBD easy taxi or shuttle bus, the hotel is well appointed, and our apartment was excellent would not have a problem returning for another stay or recommending to others. Not a complaint as breakfast was good and morning Chef friendly and accommodating but alternating a couple of the buffet choices every couple of days for people staying a week or more would make breakfast more interesting.

Modern, well maintained apartment complex on the outskirts of Port Douglas just 2 minutes from the Captain Cook highway roundabout. Hotel style room on the low range/basic side, but had everything we needed for 3 days stay. I'm not sure I'd want to do much more than 3 days in their hotel style rooms, maybe the apartments would be fine. Swim out feature to one of their lagoon pools was a nice touch. Communal BBQ available. This is very much an apartment complex, don’t turn up here expecting hotel services/facilities as you’ll be disappointed. No onsite food or bev options, for example. Extractor fan broken, as was the balcony light. Location wise - this is 40/45 minute walk to Port Douglas town where all the bars and restaurants are located. That or a 5 minute $13 return in the hotel’s recommended shuttle bus. I’m hindsight I wish I’d booked somewhere closer to town as the shuttles added cost and were a faff at points, but otherwise a great stay.
