Hotel con colazione inclusa a Port Augusta

Our stay at the Majestic Oasis Apartments was very nice. The property seems fairly new with spacious apartments which include washers and driers. Location is great, right by the river and the shops virtually across the road. Staff were good and efficient.

We were only here for one night midway on a two day drive from Alice Springs to Melbourne. The location is out of town. It is possible to walk to an OTR / Hungry Jacks but not the most pleasant walk. Our room was back from highway so not much noise and was reasonably spacious. Parking was right outside room, motel style and all paved. I’m not sure if the restaurant was open or not. Information on various websites were a bit confusing. I believe the hotel is in a state of transition from one name (Highway 1) to another (Ecolodge). Reception / checkin hours reduced to 7 pm but they had a phone number which I was able to call. It provides 24 hr assistance on and we were able to check in even though we hadn’t booked ahead of time. No daily linen change but there is daily cleaning. Wifi in rooms. The apricot walls and blue grey carpet and brown tiles in bathroom are a bit dated but clean. Towels and toiletries are supplied. There is a shower recess with a curtain with a seperate toilet. Our room had queen bed and single bed with four pillows and blanket. There were no extra blankets but the air conditioning was split system and it kept room warm. There were bedside tables on both sides of queen bed and on one side of the single with reading lights above all beds. A small wall mounted TV was on swivel above a desk which also had a microwave. The hanging space had an ironing board, iron and hair dryer. A second desk area had a mirror, double charging points and a light above. There was also a table and two chairs, a mini fridge with two milks, glasses, cups, toaster and kettle. Coffee, tea and sugar were supplied as well as cutlery, bowls and plates. I could see five double power points in the main room: one over a desk, one near microwave and kettle, one in the middle of wall, one on the floor near the single bed / bedside table and one on floor on one side of the queen bed / bedside table. There was another double power point in fridge area and a single power point near the sink. The bathroom tiles were a bit uneven. The sink was basic and a bit crazed with limited storage above it. It had a mirror. There was good ventilation in bathroom. The hot water took some adjustment and needed just a little cold otherwise too cold. It wasn’t great shower water pressure either. There is a guest laundry but we didn’t use it.

Grande alloggio - il fob chiave ha una funzione di servizio in camera Amorevole il fan dello stile del resort nel lobby e i portatori di tavolo da sapone in forma di shell - mi ha certamente dato vibes del resort. Purtroppo non aveva tempo per un po' di merda nella piscina, ma la prossima volta si imballerà i bagni per il consenso generale tra il nostro partito d'affari è stato 10 su 10

Il luogo mi sentiva molto bello, ovviamente il proprietario era molto impegnato nell'affare. In particolare amava l'informazione del Visitor, ”I miei quoti preferiti”, diceva più sul luogo di quanto potessi dire in parole. Bene, vale la pena la visita

We stayed in a basic motel room. Internet connection was awful, kept dropping out, so unusable in the end. Tiles in bedroom are a bit slippery. Bathroom was outdated and needed maintenance. The shower screen especially was not hygienic. Bed and mattress were very comfortable and clean.

La stanza che ci siamo fermati sembrava non essere stata aggiornata dagli anni '80. Molto stupendo e noioso decoro. Le pareti di mattoni erano bui, ma potevamo vedere segni sporchi in tutto. Il legno e gli asciugamani erano ugualmente vecchi e indossati. Il tempo per un riparazione!!!! I pasti che avevamo mangiato erano carini, ma ci voleva circa un'ora per portare fuori a tavola. Non sono sicuro di restare lì di nuovo, ma di mangiare lì.

I have stayed in many places in Port Augusta. Until this trip, I had never heard of Motel Pampas. I did a loop on the highway, spotted their sign, and thought, ”Why not?” I am so glad I did. I followed the signs - walked in - and met a nice young fellow who was most courteous. Through an electric security gate, I entered a nice, open-walled but covered area and into a rather eclectic room. The new units were built on the land area, which likely explains my room's odd-shaped bathroom. We all know the trains rumble through Port Augusta and pass close behind the Motel Pampas, but it's not a problem. The motel rooms are amazingly quiet because they have wind-down shutters, and the room's comfort is great. Quiet, great bed, nice sheets and decent pillows. Table and a bench to charge all my ”stuff”... The hot water is a bit slow, but a sign states that... In its heyday, the original building was obviously a substantial property. It is nice to see old buildings that are well-cared for. The Motel Pampas is still quant and, as I mentioned, mildly eclectic, if not eccentric. I like the place, and it was a good sensible price... I will return to Motel Pampas.
