We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Plovdiv. All the staff were very kind and helpful, from the front office to accommodation and restaurant. The hotel is stylish and modern, and the bedroom was spotlessly clean. The shower is one of the best I have ever used, and the bath is also wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning, window that can open, safe and fridge. The TV had a huge variety of stations and had pause/playback features. There is a busy intersection outside but it is very quiet at night and I got a great night's sleep! We had breakfast here all 3 mornings and it was delicious, the lady and gentleman who worked here were amazing, the nicest people we met in Bulgaria!! The breakfast included coffee, juices, cereals, fresh fruit, hams and cheeses, eggs, bacon, beans and sausages, as well as delicious American style pancakes, French crepes and croissants. We had dinner in the town so we did not try the hotel restaurant. The hotel is next to a Billa shop so you can easily pick up some water or snacks. You can walk to the old town in about 30mins or you can get the local bus which only costs 1 lev. They go regularly and there is an up to date timetable at the bus stop, you pay on the bus. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend the Holiday Inn Plovdiv!
