Really outstanding place to have recharge, even if you aren’t vegan.
Service is excellent, food is good, there are enough options and even if you aren’t vegan, there you still can have good time and try out some of vegan dishes (some of them are great).
Cocktails are outstanding. If you feel they are watered down to your taste- just ask double alcohol, they’ll make it.
Beach is great and much less packed than Sandos next door. You would definitely feel secluded.
Jungle areas are also great and well maintained with all kind of tranquility you need.

We spent a few days at Palmaia in late December with our two young kids. Palmaia is part of the Sandos resort and has its own exclusive portion of the property. Palmaia is clearly more serene and calming than Sandos, even with plenty of families at the pool and restaurants. Palmaia’s rooms seem to be new and housekeeping was very good at keeping things clean for a tropic beach resort. We also liked how green the property was on the main road and the easy access to the beaches and pools. The kids pool was a highlight for our family, giving our kids plenty of space to splash and go down the water slides. Palmaia’s provided airport transportation and the front desk kept things smooth for us, although we noticed a few other rooms struggling to get back to the airport on time.
We chose Palmaia mainly because we thought it was a food destination, but we didn’t enjoy it as much as anticipated. Certainly the vegan options provide variety that other resorts lack, but overall we were underwhelmed. Drinks and food preparation are inconsistent, including salt and spiciness levels. Items on the menu were also mislabeled, especially at the Asian restaurant where terms like shoyu and omakase did not reflect what was served. Occasionally they will have fresh coconuts to drink from, but they do not have a way to fully open them. Our favorite place ended up being the taco truck, but that place consistently ran out of beers. A few execution details could make a big difference.

This hotel felt much more like a wellness retreat then a regular vacation resort. The facilities are absolutely pristine and not one single detailed is overlooked. The staff makes you feel like a king in his own castle, they are so kind and attentive, they treat you as if you’re the only one there. The food is out of this world even if I’m not a vegan. Everyday is filled with activities to help you relax, recharge and reconnect. I’ve never loved a place so much. Will definitely be going back over and over

Our beach service from Debbie and David was 1st rate and they treated us with VIP service. Juan our server at Su Casa brought us off menu items and suggested great meals.
Front desk and Nomatic Guide handled everything we requested.
The Ferry from Cozumel gave us the wrong luggage and they tried daily to get our correct luggage back the entire stay.
We will return back from Houston in the next few months.
Five Star in every category.

One of our favorite hotels. Stayed here 3rd time. Amazing throughout. Best staff and service (thank you Eduardo for 5 star service!). Great healthy food options. Magical beach and jungle. Spacious rooms. Can’t wait to return again.

This is a really different vibe from the other all-inclusives along Riviera Maya that we’ve been to. I was a little apprehensive because my vacation mode involves drinking beer in a pool more than doing yoga. I was pleased to see that you can still do as much of that sort of thing as you want here. Where this property really stood out was the food. It was at a much higher level than anywhere else I’ve stayed. I’m not a vegan and, as many have pointed out, there are plenty of non-vegan options available. But, holy cow, all of it was delicious whether it had meat or not. Really fresh ingredients prepared beautifully. Otherwise the place had a quiet and relaxed vibe, with beautiful facilities and friendly service. A perfect place to unwind in the sun for a few days, even if you skip all the spiritual guru stuff.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS VACATION! Perfect for non vegans, vegans, and any other dietary restrictions! Perfect for family or just a getaway in general! Highly recommend this private oasis! Everyone and everything was truly wonderful from beginning to end. Can’t wait to go back!

I was married at Palmaiia in Sept. It was a fabulous experience. They really take great care of their guests and the views and property are stunning. We will be back every year I sure!

Best Hotel ever! Everything is incredible, everybody is amazing, but we want to give extra special thanks to Esteban our nomadic, Raul and Oscar who drive us everywhere with the best attitude, Far who always receives us at Su Casa with a great attitude to make us feel great, Eduardo and Valentin our waiters at Mar de Olivo and Su Casa at nights were really great, Angel who is the best instructor ever, Balde the Shaman who you can hear all day and is non stop wisdom for you life. Thank you to everybody, we planned to return as soon and as much as possible.
