The Del Monte Lodge Renaissance Rochester Hotel & Spa

If you have never been here, you need to. One of the most spectacular hotels we stay at. Seriously. And we always do JW and Ritz. This hotel has such attention to detail it amazes me. Bonvoy members you are heard here and recognized. From the moment you get to the front desk they are friendly and acknowledged for your Marriott elite. Just keep in mind that upgrades are very difficult for them as much as they want to do it because of the very few suites they have. But they will ask (they do me) what floor I like, lower or upper. But the rooms are gorgeous. On the last two chilly nights I used the fluffy throw on the bed and that was wonderful. The shower is almost immediate with the hot water and the shower are roomy and have all the amenities you need. The rooms are so roomy and the beds are delicious. Yes delicious..so comfy!! There is a coffee maker and small fridge in each room and I love that. Best part...the rooms are pristine! Clean and sparkling. If I had to complain about anything it would be that the rooms are very dimly lit. I would like a bit more light. But I'll trade that for everything else this little gem has to offer. And did I mention that they are on the canal. Yes!! You can go down for an amazing breakfast and watch see the canal right out the window. Talk about ambiance. This is a must for everyone.

Pittsford is a beautiful town on the Erie canal, the hotel is right on it's banks. The problem with this hotel is the noise from it's heating and ac system which is hotel wide, we had 3 sleepless nights, when we informed staff, they said they were aware of the issue and planned to do an overhaul of the system next January. This hotel cares nothing for the comfort of its guests. There was a group of us there for a wedding and we all had the same complaint. AVOID IF YOU REQUIRE THE VERY MINIMUM OF A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP

This was a recommendation from a friend who lives locally. The staff is welcoming and friendly, our room was well appointed and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Erie Grill. Hanna, our server, was accommodating and we enjoyed the views of the canal right behind us. There is a complimentary shuttle we will certainly look to utilize in the future as our son begins his time as a student-athlete at Fisher. It works within a 10 mile radius which includes the airport. Easily walk able area with lots of restaurants and shops. Would recommend choosing a room not in the back of the building as the railroad goes through there and we'd also opt for the second or third floor since we had a young family sitting outside our window in the morning making a bit of noise. Bravo, we'll be back Family Weekend!
