My wife, adult son, and I booked a week at this hotel. We chose this hotel based on the location for events we were to attend in the strip area. We booked a king with a fold out sofa and the room had enough room for the 3 of us. The check in is one flight up from street level which is something we are not used to. We figured it out and it wasn't a problem after that. Upon check in we were informed we were allowed one maid service for the week. We picked Saturday thinking this would work as it was half way through our stay but the front desk person informed us they don't do maid service on the week end (not true because we saw cleaning staff working on the week end cleaning rooms). We picked Friday and upon returning on Friday found that the room was not serviced. We pilled our used towels in the corner of the bathroom thinking we would have fresh with the maid service. My wife had to go down to the front desk and to secure fresh towels. We had one soap bar and two small bottles of shampoo for the week. We were able to secure more from one of the maid carts in the hall with the maids approval. Our bathroom shower had a half glass partition with the other half open. The shower leaked significantly and we had to mop up the water every time we showered from the floor so we wouldn't fall. The hotel advertises valet parking. Not true. We could tell the covered garage was set up for valet parking as they could park cars end to end but when they did away with the valet they lost at least half of their covered parking spots. The upper level is accessed from the back alley with a very tight turning radius. Really tight. There is an uncovered overflow lot across the street but unloading in a rain storm sucks. We were charged $19 per day plus tax for the parking. The Steelers were in town that Sunday so the hotel was pretty crowded for the weekend (breakfast and parking). Breakfast was included with our stay and consisted of frozen eggs, potatoes, and sausage every day which was heated in the oven and brought out in large pans. The eggs were like rubber, the potatoes bland, but the sausage was ok. There are muffins, bagels, fruits, and oatmeal in a big pot. My friend who was staying here also in a separate room said the oatmeal tasted like paste. She said her shower also leaked. We were awakened at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday of our stay by the fire alarm. We were told to vacate the hotel asap. Scary to say the least but it was just heavy smoke from a room the floor below us from a pot of food left on the stover overnight. I commend the hotel for having this alarm system and evacuation plan in place. The next morning we were awakened at 0700 by jack hammers outside on the street below. Really, 0700? Not much of a view either. The hotel has a lot of things going for it...great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean public areas...but needs improve a number of areas and not cut corners at the expense of their guest.

Really good location, just a few minutes walk from a very nice part of town. The hotel is very modern and comfortable with lovely amenities, including a pool and gym. Breakfast was generous although missing some bits, we were very happy. The room itself was very comfy and although the bedding wasn’t the nicest, it was very clean. I will say the area itself felt a little sketchy at night and we were concerned about the car, but all was fine. It was very different by day!

Mi è piaciuto che fosse in una villa e a pochi passi dal Phipps Conservatory e dai musei Carnegie (a circa 15 minuti a piedi dall'hotel). Il check-in è stato veloce con personale amichevole per aiutare con qualsiasi domanda. La barista era gentile abbastanza da aiutarmi con le opzioni locali per la cena, e lei è andata fino a farmi una mappa, così potevo facilmente trovare i ristoranti. (Grazie per il lavoro straordinario. È stato molto apprezzato!) La passeggiata verso Shadyside era solo circa 10 minuti. Ci erano ristoranti e bar disponibili, più alcuni negozi. La zona è sicura, quindi non mi sentivo incomoda a camminare tardi. Le camere erano pulite e moderne con attrezzature standard. Mi piaceva che il servizio di custodia fosse facoltativo. Al check-in, vi è stato chiesto di scegliere il tipo di servizio di custodia che desiderate durante il vostro soggiorno. Mi sono fermato all'hotel per due notti, quindi ho scelto di non fare servizio di custodia. Il parcheggio è fuori strada che è buono dal momento che l'hotel si trova su una strada occupata, ma la quantità di parcheggio è molto limitata. Ho visto solo otto parcheggi effettivi. Tre di questi locali non erano disponibili a causa della costruzione in loco. Il parcheggio di sovraffollamento è praticamente ovunque lungo il perimetro della proprietà accanto alla galleria. Questo non è sufficiente per la quantità di camere disponibili. Non apprezzo dover parcheggiare in un luogo dove la mia auto potrebbe facilmente essere danneggiata. A parte il parcheggio, ho goduto del mio soggiorno all'hotel e mi sono ripreso a visitare Pittsburgh.
